On March 20th, 2009 Super Hooligan released their second studio recording. The new 4 song EP also lists a couple of their demo classics like “Peacemaker” and “I Know”.
Super Hooligan run furiously through topics of life experiences, calls for social change, and anger toward the all too familiar sounds of the pop music world. Their sound is refreshing, but also rooted in classic punk and syncopated rock rhythms. The band keeps their energy level high and the mood upbeat with anthemic songs like the “Owltown”.
“Little Sister” is another hard rockin’ song with choppy rhythms during the verse, straight grinding during the epical chorus, and a pseudo Stones-ish guitar line to boot.
“American Man” and "Get Some" has an old school sound, . Super Hooligan are good about taking the best parts of old and new punk and bringing them together to make a blend that is pure without losing that classic sound and without sounding dated.
