MySpace a place for friends

Formed in January 2007 Vena Cava conists of Andy,Laura,Dan and Chris. Their main aim is to create many a good tune for people to listen to and to have a good time doing it. Their unique Fun metal style comes through in their well known covers of Gay Bar and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Currently finishing off their first demo, Vena Cava hope to rise up through the ranks of rock/metal genre. Gigs have been few but hope to get some more soon. Laura and Andy had tried many of a time before to start a band but had failed in their attempts due to lack of ideas, bassists and drummers. When andy heard Laura and Dan play a cover together with Nathan Halpenny(drummer of Chaos Found), Andy and laura gave it one more try with Dan on Bass. The Hunt for a drummer was .. having found a drummer Vena Cava got underway with writing their first ever riff(riff to superior). However due to lack of enthusiam from the drummer Vena Cava were forced to find another one. A few weeks after a new drummer was found. At First this drummer gave the band hope in progressing but due to musical differences, lack oif enthusiasm and a no show at a gig the band had to let him go. After a first rough couple of months trying to find a drummer they found and irreplacable one in the name of Chris Walker. Chris had been a friend a friend of the band for a long time and after going through two drummers the band asked him to step up. He immediately made an impact and really got the band going.

And much credit goes to Mike Holmes for thinking of the name for us! :D

Vena Cava split up on the 22nd September 2008 due to three members moving on to University. We hope we will be remembered as a great rocking band by the generation that knew us.
