About Super Luckies

Hello, my name is Stephen J. Payne. I am a musician and songwriter. Thank you for coming to visit my page.

I am told that this particular space right here is for me to write all about myself, and to tell you the whys and the wherefores. But i am not convinced.

What i will tell you is that i consider myself a Lucky soul. Lucky because i believe in myself. Lucky because i believe in my friends. Lucky because i was born a citizen to a tolerant and (fairly) liberal country. Lucky because i know how to learn lessons from those around me. But mostly, i think i am Lucky because i know, and have always known what i wanted to do with my life

I owe a great debt of gratitude to a great deal of people, far too many to list here. So i'll simply say - for all the lessons we've learned together. The hard and the easy, musical and otherwise, fictional or factual, the painful and the pleasant.

On 26th June 2009, we got up at some ungodly hour and headed into the City of London to film the video on a couple of the 30 street pianos that have been installed on streets, in public squares and parks, train stations, and markets by Sing London as part of the "Play Me I'm Yours" artwork.

Yeah 6th form is alright, Italian,Biology,Geography and Maths for me it is! did really well in my GCSE's completely wiinged them and got all As and an A* in french was dead chuffed! hoping to be some sort of like sports physio or osteopathe! Surrey.. which part of Surrey were you in? i guess its a pretty big place but always seems closer to home for me than london or whatever. your so going to have to teach me the digereedoo (or however you spelt it ;) ) to me one day all that circular breathing looks a bit tricky! hehe message back crazy boy :) xxx

GREAT! Glad to hear the showcase gig went well, and hope more turns up for you (may you find money in pockets you never knew you had haha!) Are you signed now? Don't be scared of the meaning of the track - it's only cheese :) Guess it just means I'm a bit insane. Oh I like the logo by the way - very cool. GeOrGe x

Tiramisu	Sep 25 2009 7:27 AM Just listening to Paper Mountains and The Hours....... just wanted to say....... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! WELL DONE. The piano on both sounds amazing, the drums on The Hours are incredible & great sounding and everything just fits - it's brilliant. Did you record these with Jack? I've got a new acoustic one with Tiramisu up as well - influenced by you and Thibaut and Morski, but the lyrics are for a girl I used to know, and the cheese reference is just something that a friend once said.... let me know what you think :) Love to Alicia and stay very lucky Bongo x x
