Super Martian Robots are a 5-piece band spawned from the underbelly of Las Vegas and the womb of schizophrenic dysfunction. Only together for a few months, they have already amassed an amazingly vast and demented catalog of tunes. Up next: success, fame, and a following of millions.
Their biggest money maker so far? Selling off locks of hair and rehearsal room “garbage” that could be packaged and re-sold as “art.” We all know that “music” isn’t making money anymore, but rest assured: best-selling autobiographies, a clothing lines, bed sheets, Teen Beat cover shoots, and dolls in their likeness are soon to follow.
Their first release, the 6-song Invasion EP, was unleashed upon the masses in August 2008, via from the wonderful offices of Pop Cycle Records (for those who care to download it for free).
Super Martian Robots sound like AC/DC being brutally assaulted and left for dead by System of a Down, Nirvana, Weezer, Rage Against The Machine, and Barney. Their musical influences are: The Muppets, American Idol, Garbage Pail Kids, Ed Norton, Britney Spears, Slurpees, The Beatles, and Reality TV.
Super Martian Robots see the current state of music as outdated, stale, and totally accessible to the consumer mass market of starry-eyed lemmings. Do they want to change this? Hell no! They're ready to regurgitate the same bland riffs and artificially con"cock"ted vocals to provide another voice of hope to the "emo"tional masses. Hip Hip Hooray!

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:
Message us for pre sale tickets if you can make it $10. We will be doing an acoustic set for our FREE after party at the rock room inside the crazy horse III "formerly the penthouse club". We hope to see you!
