SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN: COSTA RICA is a series of thirteen hour - long episodes which builds week by week into the television event of the year. The episode nature of the show which includes drama both in front of and behind the cameras will draw and hold viewers in the same way as a compelling documentary, but it also will retain the hard edged authenticity and compelling unpredictability of reality programming.........
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN: COSTA RICA tests the spirit of 7 extraordinary models that have been featured in such magazines as Stuff, Maxim, Playboy, FHM, and countless others. The models on the cusp of stardom and their commando style crew trying to capture all the exploits. Both cast and crew are isolated deep inside the Costa Rican jungle, away from the pampering. Ipods, cell phones, computers friends, family, cast, and crew will be forced to rediscover who they really are.
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN: COSTA RICA is a unique competition: As the girls participate in various "Model" themed events. They also are tested throughout the show in ZEN-LIKE ways (Think Kung Fu Grasshopper) that will initially confuse and rattle the girls, but ultimately will reveal to audiences the innermost truth and beauty of these girls. In a military inspired "hands off" mentality these girls are refused the customary comforts thrown at supermodels. This drastic shakedown results in all the girls being "broken down" and literally "reborn" as we see beautiful changes in the way they look at the world around them. The girls must compete against one another in principal but ultimately they end in competing against themselves. Each girl showcasing to potential employer's world-wide their total beauty. The girls took incredible pictures that will be sure to grace the covers of the nation's biggest magazines.........
SUPERMODEL SHOWDOWN: COSTA RICA has a multitude of unforgettable twists: Every episode climaxes unexpectedly with high drama as the show literally writes itself. Watch as the producers and crew work to keep up with the constant flow of drama and adjust to the surprising events as they unfold day by day. The girls are forced to engage in every more intense bouts of TRUTH whereas resentment, jealousy, or even a personality clashes begin to emerge amongst them. Then just as world audiences begin to find their favorite girl to cheer for the eliminations begin!
