and I have really been into a lot of graphic novels under the publisher Vertigo such as Preacher, Y the Last Man, and Fables.

As long as they think you are it's ok. Too bad you can't watch fun tv during the week, well in the morning. I wish I had a tv at work. We're entering our slow season and I am sooo bored!
I dont know if thats the medias fault... Ive been following the media real close... all Ive heard them do is stress that pork is safe to eat. The whole pork scare is from uneducated people that dont pay attention to anything other then friends or family. Listening to NPR and reading MSN I havnt actually seen that much fear mongering. More of them stressing pork and pigs are completely safe and that we dont have to worry so much in the US and how dumb it is that Europe and Asia are banning trade and travel to here and Mexico.
They are being fear mongers to an extent but I think in this type of situation you cant be to carefull. Swine flu is a whole different animal from other influenzas. We have no vaccine or cure. The only way to stop its spread is quarintine. Hence why most of the world has banned travel to the US or Mexico. They have experiance with things like this that we dont. It can spread like wildfire in our modern world no matter how much we wash our hands. Besides its really not a matter of if a pandemic will happen but when. Without a little fear mongering I believe our ignorant americans would ignore it and that could kill millions. We are a country of fat sheep that listen to the tv to tell us what to think.
Shouldnt fear the swine but we should be cautious. Considering the last H1N1 flu we didnt have a cure for and that targeted young adults over young and old was worse then the black plague. The spanish flu killed over 4 million people in 1918. The swine flu is the same type of flu.
