Blending elements of stoner rock, metal, old-school punk, and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll, Superock is a band who truly lives up to their name. Characterized by an intense live show, Superock is a bare-bones rock outfit hailing from Virginia Beach. Their songs are well-crafted rock singles with catchy hooks and infectious vocals, but never sacrificing the fierce, raw energy of the band. The driving force behind their originals is a rock-solid rhythm section. This includes Devin DeGroat on bass, a musician who is more concerned with giving the song a hard backbone than stealing the spotlight. Devin's lethal bass tone cuts into the soul of the music, finding innovative bass lines that are often more complex than they feel (a trick that fills the depth of the track, without losing its driving energy). The whole band is fronted by Micah Spruill. The original visionary behind the band, Micah's erratic energy and bold stage presence pull in casual listeners to make them die-hard fans. His meaty guitar work thickens up the music, while his strong vocals give the songs a commanding authority that's hard to ignore. He even occasionally grinds out a guitar solo just to change things up. But Superock's secret weapon? The fans! Their constant presence at the shows is impressive enough, but their relentless support of the band, complete with massive sing-a-longs of Superock originals and the spontaneous "SUPEROCK!" shout, makes a Superock show a thing of legend.
