(All of this is true) I was born in a small town built on the back of a railroad, and I was fed in my childhood by bootlegger’s wages, insurance money, and the goodwill of pastors and the welfare state. My best friend growing up was a half Indian boy named John Treebear, who was killed by a lung infection caused by fertilizer exposure.
Since my youth I have been a writer, film director, screenwriter, TV producer, fry cook, school teacher, theater director, pizza delivery boy, camp director, film editor, theater concessionist, Good Morning America Intern, and mall easter bunny.
