Since the summer of 2005, Super Satellite, a four-piece indie rock band from New Jersey have been entertaining audiences all over the U. S,
with their own brand of post-punk/rock tunes with Brit Pop influences. The band is fronted by Christian Olguin (lead vocals, rhythm guitar
and songwriter), Tim Foster (lead guitar, mandolin, backing vocals), Danny Pinto (drums), and Chris Wenzel (bass). Their collective sound is
reminiscent of great bands like Oasis and the Kinks, yet distinctively different.
Super Satellite has performed innumerable shows since they first started pounding the New Jersey and New York club scenes. They eventually
worked their way above and beyond their local haunts. With their broad appeal and feel-good retro sound, they were able to garner more
attention and earned support slots for artist's such as Lifehouse at Milwaukee Summerfest, Sugar Ray and Fastball at Live at 5 in CT, Gin
Blossoms, Sponge, The Atari's, Candlebox, Vonda Sheppard, Cross Canadian Ragweed and the Gourds to name a few. They have played major music
events including South by South West in Austin, Mobfest in Chicago, Summerfest in Milwaukee and were interviewed and performed on the Matt
Pinfield radio show.
Super Satellite released their first cd through Sidecar Industries, a 10 song E.P., which was mixed, edited and produced at Stratosphere
Sound in NYC by Geoff Sanoff, whose other projects include The Sounds, Nada Surf, Fountains of Wayne, Dashboard Confessional and Secret
Machines. The cd was mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC by Will Quinnell who also mastered releases by Mindless Self Indulgence, Armor for
Sleep, Blue Van, Lupe Fiasco, and remixes by Amy Winehouse and Rihanna. The album features "Sleepwalking" the first single, an easy going,
catchy, mandolin-laden tune that takes the listener to a cheerful place where there is satisfaction and love in one's life. "Come Over" is a
straight-ahead pop rock tune which can inspire anyone to move their feet and sing along. The album is a great and uplifting diversion with
more focus on what is good in the world than what is wrong with it.
With such solid star power Super Satellite is destined for Super Stardom. Check out www.supersatellite.org for more information about the
band, tour dates and more. For additional information on the band please contact Sidecar Industries at 212.561.0862 or
