About me:

INTRODUCTION

Supersonic Publicity was founded in 2006.

The aim is to provide a low-cost publicity service to unsigned acts.

Other PR/publicity firms charge thousands of pounds to plug your music. Unsigned bands can very rarely afford these costs. Supersonic Publicity offers an affordable service that will greatly benefit unsigned bands without leaving them in thousands of pounds of debt.

We are happy to plug your new demo, single, EP or album.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Prior to the advent of Supersonic Publicity, Jim's most recent project was to work alongside Dawn Peters in plugging a World Cup single to the UK media. The single was released by a tiny independent label called Beat Crazy Records. Dawn and Jim's efforts led to the single receiving the following media exposure:

*REGIONAL PRESS: 150 features in regional newspapers across the UK, including the likes of the Yorkshire Evening Post, Birmingham Mail, Western Morning News, South London Press and many, many other regional publications.

*NATIONAL RADIO: Live interviews on Jo Whiley's BBC Radio 1 show and Victoria Derbyshire's BBC Radio 5 Live show in addition to airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.

*NATIONAL PRESS: Five articles in the Daily Mirror including a four-star review. Further coverage for the single in the following national newspapers: The Sun, Daily Record, Times Educational Supplement, News of the World, The Daily Mail and The Sunday Times.

*REGIONAL RADIO: Live interviews and airplay on the following BBC regional stations' Breakfast Shows: BBC Lancashire, BBC Leeds, BBC York, BBC Northampton, BBC Suffolk, BBC Bristol, BBC Somerset Sound, BBC Swindon, BBC Wiltshire, BBC Solent and BBC Kent.

WHEN WILL YOUR CAMPAIGN BEGIN?

We will send out your music to the media six weeks prior to its release date. This is the standard time-frame used in the music industry.

If your music is not actually receiving an 'official release' (i.e. it won't be available in the shops) then we'll begin the campaign on whichever date you choose.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PROVIDE US WITH?

We ask that you provide us with as much information as possible about the band so that we can create an exciting press release (including all upcoming live dates). We also ask that you provide us with JPEG images of the band - the more images, the better.

We will need copies of your demo/single/EP/album. If you have chosen the Basic Service we will require 160 copies. If you have chosen the Premier Service we will require 210 copies. If you have chosen the Gold Service we will require 260 copies.
