Influences
When asked about influences on his career, Robert Ellis said, " While many artists have influenced my vocal style, Judy Garland has had the single greatest influence on my life and music. I learned to sing by imitating her, learned to perform by watching her, and learned so much about life by her vibrant personality traits. She is truly my Idol." He has also listed among his influences : Robert Goulet, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, and Bernadette Peters.

Robert has often impressed even the toughest of critics with his complete originality. His sound is such a chaotic (albeit enjoyable) mix of soul, jazz, R&B, Gospel, swing and even a dash of rock, that it is impossible to compare his sound to any other artist.
Robert Ellis is a performer who, in only seven years, has released two successful Gospel albums, been in four major Theatre productions, performed hundreds of concerts, opened for Grammy award winning recording artists, Earned multiple State titles and National honors, and became a force to be reckoned with in local television and radio. Now eighteen years old, Robert's career is in full swing, and sure to ascend far beyond what anyone would have expected from this Magnolia, Arkansas native.
