Super Tuesday is a three-piece garage rock outfit from Cincinnati, Ohio. The band was formed in January, 2007, in a cold, dark basement. After a year or so playing together, Super Tuesday recorded a low-fi, self-titled EP. Then in 2009, Super Tuesday recorded a second EP, entitled "Tedious Burr" (for a line in a Lewis Carroll poem) with a much more evolved and matured sound. Tedious Burr was recorded in just 3 days at Monastery Studios, by Ric Hordinski (who was a founding member of the group Over The Rhine, and has recorded internationally successful acts including Phil Keaggy, the Ass Ponys, and David Wilcox). It's his words that describe Super Tuesday best. Blown away by the age of the band members, who are all sixteen, Hordinski said, "Working with Super Tuesday, one can't escape the notion that we're just lifting the curtain on a stageful of precocious musicality. This will be a band to watch."
In the span of just 2 years, Super Tuesday has been very successful. They've released two EP's, played at venues all over the Cincinnati area (including Madison Theater, the Mad Hatter, the Blue Note, the Greenwich, Dirty Jack's, Mad Frog), have achieved a dedicated following of all ages, and have won both SuperNova's and Gorilla Productions' Battle of the Bands. Super Tuesday is truly "a band to watch".
