About me:
MNPS: Support Student Safety is a coalition of young activists who wish to amend the Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) anti-discrimination policy to include sexual orientation and gender identity. The proposed policy reads:
"It is the policy of the Metro Nashville Public Schools to afford all persons, regardless of their actual or perceived race, religion, color, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, or gender, including gender identity, expression, and appearance, equal rights and opportunities in all of its educational institutions."
Such a policy would protect all students in the Metro Nashville public school system who are, or are perceived to be, gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, questioning, or transgender from discrimination.

Who I'd like to meet:
Students, parents, school faculty, teachers, and community members who believe in the right to equal education for all and will work for the inclusion of "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" in the Metro Nashville Public Schools' anti-discrimination policy.
