Heiti Mangmann was born in 1976 in a small city called Paide in the heart of Estonia. He started his journey down the road of music at a young age. He started to organise school parties with his friend/classmate and landed in local radio station where they broadcasted interactive Friday Night Dance Hour and local Top-20 shows.
In year 1993 he discovered a program called Fast Tracker. That was crazy, he had not even imagined that such a music producing program with so many options and capabilities was somewhere out there :-). XM format became a part of Heitis life - all the floppy disks and modem dial-up internet connections, grabbing new samples and ideas from internet (bbs). He knew where his heart would take him. He threw himself into music producing. Meanwhile he found European dance music radio stations through ASTRA satellite. Piet Blanks Partyservice at L1VE radio and Radio 538 Dance Department introduced him the new trends of more intelligent electronic dance music.
After graduating from high school Heiti moved to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and started studying Finance and Banking in Tallinn School of Economics. He worked at the same time in Tallinns biggest record shop and he fell into the music scene more and more.
A few years later a co-worker from that record shop offered him to remix his song and one of the biggest record companies in Estonia loved it very much and released the remix. After that the label started to offer him to remix their artists. He has made epic and uplifting trance remixes to local dance music artists.
When it comes to original productions, the past two years have showcased just what Heiti is capable of producing in his bedroom studio. Progressive house/trance is closest to his heart at the present day. His original songs and remixes are supported by superstar DJ-s like Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Johan Gielen, Solarstone, Mark Pledger, Elevation, Pedro Del Mar, Mr.Sam, Andrew Bennett, Miika Kuisma, Chris Salt, Niklas Harding, Aly & Fila, Joop.
Furthermore, he runs a local Estonian electronic dance music portal http://www.epic.ee with his friends . The portals main goal is to propagate trance, progressive, breaks and techno music in Estonia that are here widely misunderstood by its targeted audiences.
Progressive house & trance are not about the drugs, monotonous kick drums or scoring high places on the eurocharts. In reality its all about warm and groovy basslines, heart moving melodies, enchanting effects, filtered vocals and most of all; its about feeling good. Thats what really matters in the end. - dtb
Hello!! How things are going this time?:-) I'm here cos, first, I want to tell you hi and, second, I want to present you my new track 'On The Groove'. Yes, I know, its tittle reminds to the famous dance tune 'On The Move' by Barthezz (what a time!) but it's no exactly the same. Maybe I can rate this tune as tech-trance but I'm not very sure (you know I'm living a mess with styles now) :_( I just wanted to play with rhythms and groovy basses. You'll not find a serious and uplifting trance tune this time. I don't know if you'll enjoy it cos maybe I've forgot a little bit my usual melodies:-/ Well... no, I have forgot completely all my usual melodies... ehem:-/ I don't know if I'm following the right way making tracks like this. As all producers and djs, I just want people to dance :-) Please, drop some lines about this tune or about... whatever!! You know I love talking a lot (yeah, I know, it's my worst defect... ehem) :-/Many hugs from this heady producer:-P
