I was born Albert Bruce Craig II then changed my name to Simon Craig Seamount, picking Simon and adding my mother's maiden name. Seamount is a translation of a Swedish name Sjoberg. The older form of Sjoberg is Skiolden-berg, meaning Mountain of Skioldr, who was an ancient ancestor of Gothic Scandinavian Germans. As a poet, I use the nom de plume Surazeus Astarius Jesuvius.
My mother was pregnant with me while the Beatles were touring America. I was born 1964 in Portland Oregon, grew up in Keene Texas 1969-79, went to high school in Auburn Washington 1979-83, went to college at WWC.edu and WSU.edu 1983-8, then lived in Seattle Washington 1989-94. I went on a quest for the Holy Grail (which means I hitchhiked and played folk music on the street) 1994-7 in Boulder Colorado, Miami Florida, Albuquerque New Mexico, Charleston South Carolina, Kansas City Missouri and San Diego California.
I became a respectable member of society (cubicle slave) when I got a job as web designer for State of Michigan 1999-2004. I graduated May 2, 2008 with a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science focused on Cartography. I want to study History and Anthropology.
In 2000, I married an Indonesian Muslim woman from Java Island and we have two daughters, Saraswati and Athena. I named them after ancient goddesses of wisdom and knowledge.
I grew up as a Seventh-day Adventist but have grown far beyond that small-garden world view. My quest for the Holy Grail lead me to believe it is the Sang Israal bloodline of Israel, or on a broader level the concept of the Family and honoring your ancestors and taking good care of your descendants.
I believe that Jesus was a mortal king who was married to Marya Magdalena and they had children who are ancestors of many Europeans and Anglo-Americans. Though he himself died long ago, Jesus lives forever in the genes of his descendants. As well as Jesus, I respect the ancestors of all tribes, prophets of truth, judge-kings of virtue and founders of all world religions.
I believe that all religions of the world and their scriptures are manifestations of the One Eternal Mind of the Great Architect of the Universe. I consider myself to be an Ishtarian Athenian Jewish Christian Muslim Zoroastrian Buddhist Bahai Zen Taoist Wiccan Merovingian Goddess Worshipper Scientist.
