About me:

I am an entrepreneur. Belonging to a leading industrial family of India I have led a varied, busy life. I retired from active business activities at the start of the new millenium. I live in Calcutta but spend nearly six month from October to March travelling with my base in New Delhi. I travel a lot to Vrindavan, the abode of Lord Krishna and hope to settle there from my 70th birthday on 26 March, 2009 according to Hindu (lunar) calender. I am a graduate from Calcutta University. Strayed into politics in my early years and was elected to Parliament - Lok Sabha (House of the People)in 1967. I was a rare first timer to have been mentioned in TIME twice in a fortnight. Have travelled extensively in Europe and the USA. I am happily married with two sons who are married and have a child each.

Who I'd like to meet:

Interesting people with a verve for life.I thrive on the friendship of humorous, witty and joyous friends. I would love to meet people with similar traits.

    not totally deserting myspace, just cant keep up is all.... facebook sort of takes more time i guess.... then work/home/family... but i do try to stay in touch on here too... will try to do tht more often:)

    myspace is indeed a wasteland tonight.  i suspect the majority of folks are spending the day as i have. preparing for tomorrow's thanksgiving day feast.  we will  have a houseful of family and friends.  it will be a pleasure to share a meal and visit with those who are dear to us.
