Come and dance to indie-surf played by hansom guys, sit down and listen to beautiful ballads. The whole spectrum is used when Surf In Stereo walks on stage and surfs everybody out on a music adventure, where everything is possible and nothing is to dangerous.
Surf in Stereo is a new surf-jazz project. It has become a sensation on the Danish jazz stage. Despite the low average age, Surf In Stereo has a high standard in both technical and compositional abilities. The setup is traditional, but the music is far from the old rusty jazz sound. Surf in Stereo uses parts from filthy surf, indie-rock with power, sweet pop music and latin.
In 2009 the trio won the title "Young Jazz". It's a competition arranged by the Danish jazz association and it is for youngster into the age of 26 year. The trio won because of its abilities to play together and make good music energy. All members have good musicality, which is best presented in the music's simplicity
Surf in Stereo consists of Michael Vitus Østergård (Drums), Jonathan Bremerskov Roemer (bass) and Kasper Ejlerskov Leonhardt (Guitar). The members come from different music backgrounds, which makes Surf in Stereo an exciting new melting pot of traditional jazz combined with loans from other areas of music.
