I love to read my friend's poetry, you know the good stuff, the stuff that isnt published but you kow deserves to be, and you are kind of glad it isnt because then it would be censored and the beauty of its rawness would be edited away into oblivion, the stuff i wish to read the most.

In trying to begin to explain who "I" am, I came up with a list of things that I used to be, not am not anymore. I used to be a little sister, though now I feel more like an only child with a really vivid dream of a brother fading in and out of focus. I used to be a writer, but now trying to get the words out feels more like dragging the words out and my veins no longer scream my possibilities. I am crazy at my best and guarded at my worst, and even though I wish to give my heart to everyone, almost no one knows all of my heart as trust is an issue when it has been taken advantage of too many times. Really I don't know anymore who I am, each day shapes me. People tell me everyday that I am "too intese" "too optimistic" "a dreamer" and for that I thank you, because I refuse to be someone who just accepts the atrocities in this world. I refuse to be another high schooler slaving on college admission with only visions of 6 figure pay checks to motivate them. I know I would be content dancing with children in AIDs orphanages in Uganda, holding their hopes and dreams just a little closer to the sun, waiting for that newest level of frost to melt away that they can see tomorrow for the smiles it will bring.

TWLOHA ADOBE Sponsorship
Who I'd like to meet: Jesus. The guys who made the Invisible Children Documentary. Jamie and the TWLOHA staff. Ghandi. Martin Luther King Jr., Oprah, etc. But definitely God so that I can thank him for each day that I felt so alone and he was there when no one else would be. I'd ask him every question from the New Radical's song "Someday We'll Know" and live each moment in awe.
