If you live in the Northwest and plan to make one trip this summer, I recommend checking out the Victoria Ska Festival! It's the only event of it's type in this corner of the world, and it's a quick drive and ferry ride up, or just a hop onto the victoria clipper, which takes you from downtown Seattle right to downtown Victoria.
The Festival runs from July 8-11th and has 2 or 3 shows each day, all within walking distance. All information about the shows, transportation, and accomodations can be found at www.victoriaskafest.ca

Our oceans are at a tipping point. We still have time to reverse the damage, but we must make changes now. We believe that a few dedicated people can help us make this difference. So many people still don't understand Riverboarding. We do not use a boat to travel upstream at 30+ mph. Riverboarding is powered by a bungee system that slingshots you upstream. You use the river current to stretch the bungee. Once the bungee is done pulling, it releases from the board allowing you to do many boardsport tricks. Once your ride is done, float back downstream to the end of the bungee, hook the board to the bungee, stretch it and ride again. Surf all day long!
