Four gentelman playing gentelmanly music, that is Surly. Regular guys from the streets of the Tampa Bay area, learnin and lovin through this crazy ride called life. Surly was assembled in 2006 with a mission of playing for fun and not taking things too seriously, and so far this mission has been accomplished.
Aaron and Justin played in Red Skyline, Jimmy was a founding member of Truly Sunday and Lucien was in the band Petrograd in Transit. With this lineup, each member brings with them a diverse list of influences including, but not limited to: Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate, Hot Rod Circuit, Hot Water Music, No Motive, Strung Out, Sugar, Grade amung others. With layered guitars and harmonies for days Surly will fucking reak havok on stages, floors or whever you see them.
