I roll with a band of dedicated soldiers of love and human dignity, seditious lyrical militants for human freedom, lovers fighting for peace.
One of many in the struggle, fighting for a humane existance for all, using the tools of the industrialized world against itself, in the name of its victims left voiceless. Part of a broad movement of THE PEOPLE with the underlying goal of bringing about evolutionary progress through revolutionary action in the fields of politics, ecology and human consciousness, striving to serve the the greater existance by focusing awareness towards the dictates of duty and deep purpose. Politically this movement reflects a deep, ingrained grassroots democracy unmatched by petty pathetic pitiful attempts at democracy symbolised by landowners/lawmakers, with shared board of directors, and a media monopology that sees the world through a lense of capitalism.
The decentralization of both political decision-making and culture is an underlying aim of THE PEOPLE, including the transcendental/revolutionary spirit of service to others, and the world. Politically this movement endeavours to fight with presence and humility to implement a system which recognizes the dignity and freedom of every human being while understanding the unity of all creation.
Though I claim no ability to articulate with any proper substance or recognized authority the deeper aspirations of this movement, I am comfortable in exclaiming that the current system is both self-flaggellating snm n gradual suicide and in fact the logic of the present neo-liberal - capitalistic (and thus over-consuming, environmentally unsustainable, unaccomodating of human dignity and supportive of the oppressive imperialistic aims of sole or shared hegemony at the expense of all humankind, and inherently realist and spiritually complacent) system directly contradicts the purpose of this movement to the point of violent repression.
As it is the inherent logic of the system that is flawed, rather than one or another minor parts of the system, it cannot merely be reformed... it must be replaced.
I feel a sense of deep urgency burning ferociously within, in the face of injustices so numerous I am damned, and blessed, to quiver eternally...

The Lowdown are set to bring the house down at The Joynt once again Friday September 4. This a free entry event and judging from the last couple of shows TLD have done there you best arrive early and in the mood to groove. Music will kick off at 9 with Nicole Mcintyre doing a mellow set of acoustic tunes to ease you into the night. The Lowdown will take the stage around 10 and will be playing an extended set encompassing some new material, freestyles and improvised jams.
