I am half way through recording a new album.
On these songs and on my album I recorded most of the instruments myself so the whole process took bloody ages! I have a great bunch of musicians for the live gigs though who can more than replicate the album. Check out my web site if you want more info.
The inspiration behind my album title "Surrender to Happiness" comes from Somerset Maughns book Of Human Bondage. We spend so much of our lives searching after crap which is mainly unattainable and leaves us empty. Of course you only can come to this conclusion once you have found your soul mate or soul mates and realize love and friendship are what it is all about. Everything else is just the filler in between.
Ok, enough of this verbal masturbation.
Check out Elliot Cowan's lovely animated film "Boxhead & Roundhead - The Power of Flight". I wrote and recorded the music for it. The film is entered into a bunch of film festivals around the world. I was blessed to have been a staff songwriter for Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton’s Owepar Publishing Company at the height of their duet career. My current release is an underground project produced by the late legendary Country Superstar that demonstrates Wagoner liked to rock!
