  • Bio

.. Me(DAn) and Matt grew up together on the same estate. We started playing music together about a year and a half ago. Seeing as we both like the same sorts of music and play a few of the same instruments and know a bunch of songs we thought we might as well call ourselves a band. With rapidly improving skills honed busking and playing in the folk clubs and open mic nights of loughborough and durham and a steadily expanding repetoir we're becoming a force to be reakoned with. .. So far we've performed together at some folk club sessions, open mic night , in a 'talent show' and on the streets and we've had a great reception every time. Recently we've been playing bracknell folk club and the anchor folk club in byfleet which have both been really good. .. We play mostly traditional folk songs and sea songs and sometimes a bit of reggae and punk. .... All the recordings were done on the inbuilt mic on matts laptop and are pretty sketchy but hopefully they will give you a taste of our music. Hope you enjoy them! .. .. HOPING TO GET SOME GIGs for the summer and trying to get some festival slots. If anyone happens to be reading this who is interested please give us a message on this account. .. .. .. reviews*.. 'thanks lads, enjoyed listening to you'- the big issue lady we busked near.. 'nice one guys' -the bloke who gave us a fiver (he wasnt even pissed).. (*ok so the're not technically reviews but basically lots of people appreciate it when we are busking and playing at folk clubs...)

songs we find in song books and on the internet, folk club sessions, a walk around britain, pogues, levellers, bellowhead, billy bragg, dubliners, toots and the maytals, the clash, old plough folk club, celtic punk, british/irish folk, the mike harding show... .. .. ....
  • Sounds Like

obviously better live... basically trad folk with a diy/punk ethic hopefully without being too pretentious.
