SURVIVE TO RISE formed in August 2008, and existed with various lineup permutations, till Tejas (vocals/singing), Scott (vocals), Daniel (guitar), Joe (bass), and Lawrence (drums) came together in the fall of 2009..... Despite being 5 like-minded individuals, each member has and brings their respective varied musical background to the table; together, the group utilizes an open-minded, multifaceted range of sounds in the composition of their music. Taking time to develop their sound, the quintet formed fluid, dynamic, melodically charged sonic frequencies that find roots in the hardcore and metal worlds..... ..Dismantle The Construct.. is the group's 5 song debut EP, that has a singular unifying message the band wish to share with others. That message is hinted at early, in the EP's opening track title "The Separation Factor"; a powerful introspective song, that shows the band has every intention of standing apart from the crowd and making itself heard. Each track brings perspective on the trials the young men have faced on the road called life; in certain regards the songs bring those assembled, into the intensely personal thoughts behind the lyrics and carefully designed instrumentals. ..Dismantle The Construct.. moves forward steadily; each song building towards and bringing the audience closer to the final moments on the EP's closing track, "Conviction.".... SURVIVE TO RISE means just that - facing fears, making choices, tearing down obstacles, and overcoming that which prevents us from realizing the true potential of our lives. The quintet write and play music that they hope reach out to all of those willing to listen. ..
