ABOUT ME:
I grew up in Magnet Cove, Arkansas. Ever heard of it? I have two great brothers. My parents always told me I could do anything if I put my mind to it and work hard at it! And I’ve accomplished a lot in life so far, but never will I be satisfied. I’m constantly making to do lists and scratching through them as they are complete. My motto: “Don’t stop in life, let it stop you.” My mom says, “don’t tell her she can’t do something, because she will prove you wrong.” I think that comes from my dad beating it into my head to always be independent and self-sufficient – never to have to depend on a man. And now he wonders why he doesn’t have grandbabies yet?!! My parents have been together over 30 years and that gives me hope.
My life revolves around music. I sing and play piano, guitar, harmonica, drums, and saxophone. Oh, and the keytar. It’s really just a keyboard on a stick with a guitar sound – popular in the 80s. J My whole family plays instruments and sings. Its one big jamfest when I go home. I started piano at 6 – so that makes over 20 years I’ve been playing… yep do the math. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job! I consider to have found success by my definition: I am super happy, have a venue to perform in 5 nights a week, able to support myself, own my own home, wear my designer jeans and support furthering my passion - my music career. I am a dueling piano performer and the Entertainment Director at Ernie Bigg’s Dueling Piano Bar at Branson Landing. Come see me there!!! It’s a blast. I’m currently in the studio beginning my first album. I’ve met so many influential people who have supported me. I’ve got great writers that I am looking forward to co-writing with and producers that have had major hits. I can’t wait to hear myself on a track and finally put something original out that I am proud of.
I tend to be messy. Somehow the clean clothes don’t fold themselves and they find their way to my bed. And the dirty ones, those go in the floor. I’m working on that. J And I have so many clothes and never a closet big enough. I love to dress up, I love high heels with true religion jeans and a plain tank… I live out of my car a lot because I travel from Branson to Arkansas every other week. I have two dogs – Ella Star 4 lb. Yorkie and Bobby McGhee 7 lb. Chihuahua. They are my children. I graduated with honors and a Math Degree from University of Central Arkansas in Conway. The Honors College there was one of the most influential times of my life. I tried corporate world once and it suffocated me, although I loved learning the business and the people there were great. I love basketball and wish there was a women’s league here. I’ll take on anyone and get pissed if I lose. I’m learning to fly. I have 60 hours and am about to take my final check-ride for my private license. I love flying – so spiritual. And traveling the world is something I will continue to do. I love to create – whether it’s sewing, painting, or writing music. I have had a best friend since the 3rd grade that I still talk to everyday – Lindsey. And her little girl Ana is the love of my life!!! I’ve had my heart broken and I’m still optimistic that someone one day will be able to put up with me and sweep me off my feet. I’m picky though. And all the wrong men have made for a lot of right when it comes to writing songs. I love to write – it is my therapy. I love Missouri and the people here. I have fallen in love with Branson. I feel like I’m on vacation every day.
So that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. You never know what I’ll be doing or getting into. I like it that way. Life should be fun, and I will make it fun whatever I’m doing. I hope you try to check out my show at Ernie Bigg’s and stay tuned for my original music I’ll be posting as it is ready.
