In general, I'm not very general about much of anything.
Music
almost any Native American, Stabbing Westward, The Cult, Queensryche, John Mellencamp, Rush, Motley Crue, Mae, and just about the full scope of rock and roll, classic punk, and heavy metal
Movies
Hidalgo, A Few Good Men, Heartbreak Ridge, Blood Diamond, Resurrecting The Champ, Cinderella Man, Down Periscope, Windtalkers, Last of the Dogmen, An Unfinished Life, Rocky Balboa, Something New, Dreamkeepers, The Rock, As Good AS It Gets, The Pursuit of Happyness, Bait, The Rambo movies, Thunderheart, Tears In The Sun, the Bourne movies, Black Snake Moan, The Jazz Singer - movies about heroism, comedies, and love stories. The list is loooong. LOVE movies enough to write a screenplay for Rojo, my first novel.
Television
don't watch it much. When I do, it's Discovery, Science, History and Animal Planet channels.
Books
I love to read just about anything. Within reason. Well maybe not within reason.
Heroes
My Mom. My Dad. My pets. My kids. Myself. My husband. My closest friends. Not necessarily in that order. Anyone willing to speak up for what is good and right. I think it takes a lot of courage to do what is right for yourself and your family. I believe it takes a lot of inner power to stay the course, and to stay on the path, and I know it isn't easy to hold on to your own inner truth when there is so much chatter about the world. My heroes are those who stand for something good, who stand on something strong AND good, who understand that we're not meant to be perfect, we're meant to be ourselves to the very best of our abilities. My heroes are those who get that and who
People who speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.

Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who cares enough to make someone's day brighter.
O' Great Sprit whose voice I hear in the winds, and whose breath gives life to all the world, Hear Me! I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise that I may understand the things you have taught my people, Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy-myself. Make me ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes. So when my life fades, as the fading sunset, my sprit may come to you without shame
