In Indonesia, Nobama was enrolled in a Madrassa and was raised and educated as a Muslim. He spent at least 4 years in a Muslim school there. NEW YORK – Campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made to Barack Obama may backfire if the Democratic presidential hopeful wages an aggressive campaign to cast blame on rival John McCain and the Republicans in Congress for the mortgage-related losses that forced the U.S. Treasury to take over the quasi-governmental mortgage giants.
A review of Federal Election Commission records back to 1989 reveals Obama in his three complete years in the Senate is the second largest recipient of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae campaign contributions, behind only Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., the powerful chairman of the Senate banking committee. Dodd was first elected to the Senate in 1980.
According to OpenSecrets.com, from 1989 to 2008, Dodd received $165,400 in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac campaign contributions, including contributions from PACs and individuals, followed by Obama, who received $126,349 in such contributions since being elected to the Senate in 2004.
In contrast, McCain warned of the coming mortgage crisis as he pressed in 2005 for regulatory reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – known as government-sponsored entities or GSEs – and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market," McCain said on the floor of the Senate in 2005, speaking in favor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005. McCain pointed out Fannie Mae's regulator had stated the company's quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were "illusions deliberately and systematically created" by the company's senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.
The bill passed the House but was never brought up for a vote in the Senate, largely because of Democratic opposition to change in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac regulatory structure that remained in place until the Treasury takeover two weeks ago.
As evidenced by the failure to pass the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, the Democrats in Congress have repeatedly fought back Republican Party efforts to reform the two mortgage banking giants. Instead, Democrats in Congress have sought to preserve the quasi-governmental status of the mortgage giants, seeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as places to locate former top Democratic Party operatives, where they have earned millions in compensation, despite a continuing series of financial scandals.

In the aftermath of the U.S. government takeover, attention has focused on three Democrats with close ties to Obama who served as Fannie Mae executives: Franklin Raines, former Clinton administration budget director; James Johnson, former aide to Democratic Vice President Walter Mondale; and Jamie Gorelick, former Clinton administration deputy attorney general. All three Obama-related executives earned millions in compensation from Fannie Mae.
Johnson earned $21 million in just his last year serving as Fannie Mae CEO from 1991 to 1998; Raines earned $90 million in his five years as Fannie Mae CEO, from 1999 to 2004; and Gorelick earned an estimated $26 million serving as vice chair of Fannie Mae from 1998 to 2003, according to author David Frum, a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. All three have been involved in mortgage-related financial scandals.
In 1998, according to the Washington Post, Gorelick, as Fannie Mae vice chairman, received a bonus of $779,625, despite a scandal in which employees falsified signatures on accounting transactions to manipulate books to meet 1998 earning targets. The moves, in turn, triggered multi-million-dollar bonuses for top executives.
Gorelick was embroiled in another controversy over an alleged conflict of interest when a 1995 memo she authored as deputy attorney general surfaced while she was a member of the 9/11 commission. The memo, which became known as the "Gorelick Wall," appeared to establish barriers that barred federal anti-terrorist criminal investigators from accessing various federal records and databases that may have assisted them in their criminal investigations.
According to the Associated Press, Raines and several other Fannie Mae top executives were ordered in a civil lawsuit to pay nearly $31.4 million for manipulating Fannie Mae earnings over a period of six years to trigger their massive bonuses.Raines was also forced in the settlement to give up Fannie Mae stock options valued at $15.6 million.
Last year, the Securities and Exchange Commission alleged Freddie Mac had engaged in accounting fraud from 2000 to 2002, imposing a $50 million fine on the company and on four executives fines for amounts ranging from $65,000 to $250,000.Raines currently advises Obama on housing policy.
Johnson was appointed to head Obama's vice presidential selection committee, until a controversy concerning an alleged $7 millions in questionable real estate loans he received on favorable terms from failed sub-prime mortgage lender Countrywide Financial surfaced and forced him to step down.
WND previously reported a panel chaired by Elena Kagan, dean and professor of law at Harvard Law School, speculated at the June two-day meeting of the American Constitution Society that Gorelick was a possible attorney general cabinet appointment if Obama should be elected president.
The decision by the U.S. Treasury to take over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae could end up costing the U.S. taxpayer as much as $100 billion, although the extent of losses at the two giant mortgage companies remains to be determined.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Freddie and Fannie own or guarantee about $5.2 trillion worth of mortgages.The riskiest loans held by Freddie and Fannie are known as "Alt-A" and sub-prime mortgages, worth about $780 billion, or about 15 percent of the total portfolio.
The federal government takeover of Freddie and Fannie passes to U.S. taxpayers the contingent liability for failures in the entire $5.2 trillion loan portfolio held by the two mortgage giants. Over the past four quarters, Freddie and Fannie have suffered losses of about $14 billion, as the mortgage market has been hit by a wave of defaults and foreclosures not seen in the U.S. since the 1930's.

While both the early morning and evening service allowed NObama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, NObama was present during the whole "sermon" with Secret Service by his side. He did NOT leave, but only agreed with the "pastor" by NODDING his head throughout the SERMON. I'm pretty sure he's been to many of those "sermons." There are also "sermons" on tapes that show how they ALL are, and since they're so close ("spiritual adviser"), I know for a fact that he knows his character, beliefs, and HATRED (that's putting it EXTREMELY MILDLY) for white people. Clarification: The NObama campaign has told memebers of the press that Senator NObama was "NOT" in "church" on the day cited, July22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 p.m. The writer for Newsmax, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator NObama's "church" during the month of July, including July 22. The "church" holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time. While both the early morning and evening service allowed NObama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davais stnnds by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of JUly, NObama was PRESENT and sat THROUGH the "sermon" given by "Rev." wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during NObama's attendance. Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007. Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of NObama several times for comment about his attendance and "Rev." wright's comments during his "sermon." NObama has sought to separate himself from his "pastor's" controversial, racist remarks, issuing a statement Friday rejecting them as "inflammatory and appalling" but failing to renounce wright himself for his venomous and paranoid denunciations of America. NObama implied that the "reverend" had not used such derogatory language in any of the church services NObama attended over the past two decades. In his sermon that day, wright tore in America, referring to the "United States of White America" and lacing his "sermon" with expletives as NObama listened. Hearing wright's attacks on his own country, NObama HAD the OPPORTUNITY to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and NODDED in AGREEMENT. Addressing the Iraq war, wright thundered, "Young African-American men" were "dying for nothing." The "illegal war," he shouted, was "based on Bush's lies" and is being "fought for oil money."

The site says the congregation subscribes to what it calls the Black Value System, which is described as a disavowal of "our racist competitive society" and the pursuit of "middle-classness." The Relationship Unravels Senator NObama is now ATTEMPTING to MINIMIZE his LONG and CLOSE relationship with the controversial "minister." On Friday, Senator John McCain's campaign distributed a Wall Street Journal op-ed "Obama and the Minister" written under Newsmax's reporting going back to early January of 2008. The op-ed included details of a sermon wright gave at Howard University blaming America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs, shamelesly supporting Israel, and creating a racist society that would never elect a black man as president.
NObama's campaign quickly responded to the Wall Street Journal op-ed, posting a statement on th Huffington Post. In his statement, NObama acknowledged that some of wright's statements have been "inflammatory and appalling." Saying he "strongly" condemns wright's comments, NObama continued, "I categorically denounce andy statement that disarages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our publice dialogue, whether it's on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by 'Rev.' wright that are at issue."
Again, NObama moved to NARROWLY distance himself from specific comments wright had made, while still praising his "minister" in recent interviews for leading him to Jesus and preaching a "social gospel." Nobama went on to CLAIM that he first learned about wright's controversial statements when he began his presidential campaign. But this assertion conflicts with the fact that just before NObama's nationally televised campaign kickoff rally on February 10, 2007, the candidate disinvited wright from giving the public invocation.
At the time, wright explained: "When [NObama's] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Triploi" to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, "a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell" (Which is EXACTLY where HE belongs.) According to wright, NObama then told him, "You can get kind of rought in the 'sermons,' so what we've decided is that it's best for you not to be out there in publice." Still, NObama and his family "prayed" privately with wright just BEFORE the presidential announcement.
Apparently NObama never foresaw wight's "sermons" making national television or becoming a sensation on YouTube. But lending graphic DETAIL to the sage, ABC News and other networks began running a 2003 "sermon" in which wright said, "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bles America.' No, no, no, God d*!n America (for a so-called "minister" to use God's PRECIOUS name in vain especially in "church," let's just say this man is NOT a man of God), that's in the Bible, for killing innocent people...God d*!n America for treating our citizens as less than human. God d*!n America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."
NObama has described wright a a sounding board and mentor. wright is ONE of the FIRST people NObama thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004. NObama consulted wright before deciding to run for president. The title of NObama's bestseller "The Audacity of Hope" comes from one of wright's "sermons." NObama's "Yes We Can!" slogan is one of wright's exhortations.
Apologists for wright have said that what he says is NORMAL in black churches, and many blacks CLAIM such "preaching" CANNOT be understood by whites (HMMM...I wonder why...). "If you're black, it's hard to say what you truly tink and not upset white people," the New York Times quoted James Cone as saying. cone is a professor at Union Theological Seminary and the father of what is known as Black Liberation Theology.
But Juan Williams, a Fox News commentator and author of "Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-ENd Moements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America," tells Newsmax that wright's "sermons" reflect "the victim mindset that is so self-defeating in the black community and one tha tis played on by weak black leadership tha tchooses to have black people identified as victims rather than inspirgin them as people who have overcome. In posing as victims, they say the most PREJUDICED and VICIOUS things, NOT only about WHITES but about AMERICA. They call it theology. In fact, it's NOTHING but BIGOTRY."
In failing to condemn wright himself and claiming tha the was unaware of the "preacher's" hate-filled speech, NObama is continuing a longstanding pattern. NObama OFTEN refers to wright as beign "like an old uncle, who sometimes says things I don't agree with." wright is NOT NObama's "uncle" - a person born into a blood relationship - but a man he has cultivated for DECADES as a CLOSE friend, MENTOR, and ADVISER.
After Newsmax broke the story on January 14 that wright's "church" gave an award to Louis Farrakhan in December for lifetime achievement, NObama again sought to denounce his "minister's" action without criticizing wright himself. Like wright, farrakhan has REPEATEDLY made HATE-filled statements targeting Jews (calling Judaism a "gutter religion"), whites, and America. He has called whites "blue-eyed devils" and the "anti-Christ" (more like they're BOTH sons of satan to me). He has described Jews as "bloodsucker" who control the government, the media, and some black organizations.
After the Newsmax story, NObama issued a statement purportedly addressing the issue. "I decry racism and anti-Semitism in every form and strongly condemn the anti-Semitic statements made by 'minister farrakhan,'" NObama said. Again, NObama was careful NOT to condemn farrakhan himself or wright who had spoken adoringly of farrakhan and put their "church" behind the award to the controversial Nation of Islam leader. "When 'minister' farrkhan speaks, black America listens," Trumpet quoted wright as saying. "His depth on analysis [sic] when it comes to the racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye-opening. He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest."
Nobama cleverly said, "I assume that Trumpet magazine made its own decision to honor farrakan based on his efforts to rehabilitate ex-offenders, but it is not a decision with which I agree." In fact, Trumpet is published by wright's "church" using the "church's" offices. wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor.
Having gotten away with sidestepping wright's adoring comments about farrakhan, NObama told Jewish leaders flatly in Cleveland on January 24 that the award was because of farrakhan's work with ex-offenders. To date, no news outlet has pointed out that NObama's claim is false. NObama went on to explain away wright's anti-Zionist statements as being rooted in his anger over the Jewish state's support for South Africa under its previous policy of apartheid. As with his claim that the award to farrakhan was made because of his work with ex-offenders, NObama made tha tup. wright's statements denouning Israel have NOT been qualified in any way.
On Fox News' Hannity & Colmes on Friday, NObama said he would have quit the church if he had "repeatedly" been present when wright made inflammatory statements. He was not asked why he didnot quit the church when it gave an award to farrakhan.
Having considered wright a friend and mentor for two decades, NObama now OFTEN mentions that his "pastor" recently retired. wright suggested to The New York Tiems last year that he and NObama might have to do something of a distancing act inthe run up to the election. "If barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me," wright was quoted by The New York Times. "I said it to barack personally, and he said, 'Yeah, that might have to happen.'"

Let's talk about his former campaign fundraiser, ANTOIN "TONY" REZKO, who was convicted for "CORRUPTION" and "EXTORTION" in America and for "FRAUD" in France. He was ALSO labeled a SLUM LANDLORD. How nice that the obamas and the rezkos bought adjacent lots to each other in 2005, and that NObama puchased 1/6 of Rezko's lot to increase the size of his backyard.
BILL AYERS (NObama's CLOSE friend): currently a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was a memeber of the Weathermen group, which sought to overthrow the U.S. government and took responsibility for bombing the U.S. Capitol in 1971. He has admitted to involvement in the bombings of U.S. governmental buildings in the 1970's. He also told the New York Times in an interview released September 11, 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." He posed for a photograph accompanying the piece that showed him stepping on an American flag. Last week, Ayers wrote on his blog that he still feels not enough was done to oppose the Vietnam War, although he clarified, "I don't think violent resistance is necesarily the answer, but I do think opposition and refusal is imperative." In 1995, the first organizing meeting for NObam'as state senatorial campaign was reportedly held in Ayers's apartment. NObama served on the board of the Wood's Fund, a liberal Chicago nonprofit, alongside Ayers from 1999 to December 11, 2002. The "Friends of Barrack NObama" campaign fund lists a $200 campaign contribution from Ayers April 2, 2001. The two appeared together as speakers at several public events, including a 1997 University of Chicago panel entititled, "Should a child ever be called a 'super predator?" and another panel for the Univeristy of Illinois in April 2002 entitile, "Intellectuals: Who Needs Them?"
Ayers' wife, BERNADIEN DOHRN, also has served on panels with NObama. Dohrn, ONCE on the FBI's TOP 10 MOST WANTED LIST, was described by J. Edgar Hoover as the "most DANGEROUS woman in America." Ayers and Dohrn raised the son of Weathermen terrorist Kathy Boudin, who was serving a sentence for participating in a 1981 murder and robbery that left four people dead.
Another communist NObama has CLOSE ties to is MIKE KLONSKY, who recently had ALL of his blogs on NObama's official campaign website, after several independent bloggers noted Klonsky's connections to NObama and Ayers.
Klonsky is director of the Small Schools Workshop, an outreach program founded in 1991 by Ayers. It was originally associated with the University of Illinois in chicago, where Klonsky previously taught in the education department alongside Ayers. In 1995, with NObama as its chairman, the newly formed Chicago Annenberg Challenge, or CAC, a school reform organization, gave the Workshop a grant of $175,000. The CAC provided another $482,662 to the Workshop over the next few years,
Klonsky served with Ayers and his wife in the Students for a DemocRATic Society group, a jamor leftist student organization in the 1960's that later splintered. In the 1970's, Klonsky became a TOP COMMUNIST activist and LEADER of the MARXIST-LENINIST COMMUNIST PARTY. He reportedly identified as a Maoist, and traveled in 1977 to Beijing, where he held friendly meetings with the Chinese leadership.
NObama is AGAINST offshore drilling as well. This in fact, would help our economy by LOWERING gas prices (STOP complaining and VOTE RIGHT!!!), provide MORE jobs for this ECONOMY (you KNOW that we NEED it), and HELP us to be MORE INDEPENDENT from countries who DON'T like us very much, to put it VERY mildly. Look at what is currently happening to Georgia! NObama's way to "help" fight gas prices is to "inflate your tires." Senator McCain and Governor Palin also want to SAVE our environment, energy, and costs by trying to find other ways to use natural resources.

NObama on ABORTION:
The Democrats nominated the MOST PRO-ABORTION (NOT to mention Liberal) candidate in the party's history. NObama's views are SO far from the mainstream even liberal columnists are attacking him.
Nat Hentoff, one of the most liberal columnists in the U.S., has labeled NObama's position on ABORTION as "EXTREMIST." Hentoff, who doesn't object to abortion in certain instances, wrote an entire column about NObama's out-of-the-mainstream position on ABORTION. "I am a nonreligious PRO-LIFER, my only religion being the Constitution. And I am not a single-issue voter," Hentoff wrote in that column.
The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002
As a state legilsator in Illinoise, Senator NObama chaired the Illinois Senate Health and Human Services Committee. A nurse, Jill Stanek, appeared before the committee to lobby for the committee to approve the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002, which would have defined a baby born alive as a result of an abortion to be a human being deserving legal protection. At the time, there were news reports in Illinois of such babies being left to DIE. Ms. Stanek related her own story of seeing such babies being taken to a soiled utility room and left alone to DIE."
NObama, the committee chairman, joined with his fellow Democrats to defeat the bill. This was despite the fact that the bill was drafted to ensure that a woman's right to choose was protected. Nevertheless, he argued and voted AGAINST the bill stating --wrongly-- that the bill was unconstitutional and posed a peri to the viability of Roe v. Wade.
On March 30, 2001, NObama was the ONLY state senator to speak in OPPOSITION to SB 1095. The bill was CAREFULLY limited, its language unambiguous. It applied ONLY to premature babies, ALREADY born alive. It stated simply that under Illinois law, "the words 'person,' 'human bieng,' 'child,' and 'individual' include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at ANY stage of development." There was NO conflict between THIS bill and the RIGHT to a legal abortion.
An identical bill -- the Born Alive Infants Bill -- was passed by the U.S. Senate 98-0 with support from even Senator Barbara Boxer, the Senate's leading PRO-CHOICE-champion, who stated that the bill did NOT pose ANY threats to the Roe v. Wade decision.
The candidate has tried to lie about his history involving abortion AND his excuses for OPPOSING the Born Alive Infants Protectin Act wither when scrutinized. His website claimed the Illinois bill lacked the language "clarifing that the act would not be used to undermine Roe v. Wade" and CLAIMS he would have supported the federal Born Alive Infants Bill had he been in the United States Senate.
Senator NObama has justified his strenuous objection to the Illinois bill by claiming that differences from the federal bill are the reason. This claim is false. The Federal legislation and the Illinois legislation were in fact virtually identical.
Lately, the campaign has provided an equally false claim to excuse his voting against the bill: that "the born alive" principle was already enshrined in a 1975 law. His colleagues state that he never raised this concern when he was an Illinois legislator. In any case, the 1975 law would not apply to non-viable infants born alive.
According to Paul Linton, special counsel for the Thomas More Society, the 2003 bill was a response to the question, "What duties are owed to a non-viable child born alive?" The bill sought to guarantee comfort care for non-viable infants similar to the care that would be provided to any terminally ill adult. "Many of these babies lived for hours after birth," Susan T. Muskett, legislative counsel at the NRLC, writes in an e-mail. "Are these babies medical waste, or persons protected by the Constitution? NObama's reaction was to consider them non-entities under Roe v. Wade until they were 'viable,' even when they were gasping outside the mother."
Clearly, NObama does not want to be linked to actions that, in effect, condoned infanticide. That would not comport well with the mantra of hope and change. The candidate has been burning and airbrushing his history as November nears. One aspect of this effort is his attempt to recreate his own political history involving abortion. The NObama campaign handbook certainly seems inspired by George Orwell's masterpiece "1984".
He might also want Americans to ignore his full-throated support for abortion when he appeared at a Planned Parenthool event last year. He made it clear that he opposes any and all restrictions on abortion, including partial-birth abortions. As David Freddoso writes in his super new book The Case Against NObama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the media's Favorite Candidate:
He promised at a Planned Parenthood event in July 2007 that "the first thing" he will do as president -- his top priority for the nation -- is sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would erase EVERY federal and state restriction on ABORTION, NO matter HOW modest. His top priority, again, is to re-legalize partial borh abortion under all circumstances, abolish all laws on informed consent and parental notification, and eliminate all state restrictions on taxpayer funding of abortions.
NObama has only dug himself DEEPER in a hole when he expressed that he did NOT want his "daughter to be PUNISHED with a baby" should she inadvertently become pregnant.

It was disposed of as a horrified nurse who was not necessarily pro-life followed the doctors' orders to put the baby in a pail or otherwise get rid of the child. As a longtime columnist, John Leo has written of this form of fatal discrimination, these "mistakes" during an aboriton, once born, cannot be "killed or allowed to die simply because they are unwanted.""
In his latest column (which oddly enough is about John McCain), Hentoff states categorically: "I cannot vote for Barack NObama because he is an extremist on abortion who refused to even save a sudden live baby resulting from a botched abortion."
Earlier this week NObama received the enthusiastic endorsement of NARAL Pro-Choice America, one of the most militant PRO-ABORTION groups operating in the United States.

Her books are such a pleasure to read...you'll be laughing hysterically, sometimes with tears of joy rolling down your face. She will just brighten up your gloomy day!!!
