Anything outdoors. Hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, swimming, riding quads, cliff diving, etc. I also love more easy going things like painting, sculpting, and gardening. I've played the piano since I was seven. I just started to pick it up again. I'm an avid reader, but only when it's not nice out. I also love photography. It's a wonder to be able to capture a memory, a moment in time, that my grandchildren will be able to physically see for themselves. It continues to amaze me.
Some people are like slinkys. They are completely worthless but it makes you smile each time you push their ass down the stairs...

About me:
I'm Susan. I'm not a typical lady. I don't like to shop, I'm comfortable in my own skin, if I don't like you, you will surely know it, I don't have mood swings, I'm not hiding anything and hate television unless it's educational. I'm a reader. I'm a wannabe politician. I'm not afraid of doing anything. I love doing ridiculous things like white water rafting, cliff diving, rock climbing...I love road tripping. I don't do these things nearly enough. I love to love. I try to love selflessly. I'm a conversationalist even though I'm gradually becoming more introverted in my crotchety old age. I love people. My love language is physical touch. I am very passionate and driven. People and places don't stop me. I do not let people live my life for me. I care deeply about people, some more than others. I believe that character can often be determined by the company that you keep. I try to surround myself with the motivated, which is funny because most of my friends are lazy and in total denial of the fact. I have a very redeeming personality which people have hated me for. I am very stubborn and strong-willed which I believe are two things that have gotten me this far. I'm extremely forthright. I don't care how mad it makes you, repression is not a quality that I embrace. Be honest with the ones you love. I love music because it takes me away. I don't play the piano half as much as I should. Almost as much as I love music. I love the arts. I am a sculptor at heart. Painting gets me lost and being lost is where I often find my heart. The only thing I'm wary of is falling in love. Don't hurt me. If my heart gets broken again, I'll probably kill someone. I'm a traveler at heart. I'm flawed. I'm have parts that are broken and will never be fixed, partly because it's impossible, and partly because it feels good to hurt. I'm a really bad friend sometimes. Please bear with me while I work on that. I'm neither an optimist nor a pessimist, but a realist. I'm really good at giving advice, terrible at taking my own. I'm an awesome speller. I believe in God and I don't hate you if you don't. I'm very rough around the edges. Please don't let that reflect on my heart. I believe in finding love in something outside of this life because this life will end. Without love you lack hope, and without hope, you lack purpose. The world is too intricate and captivating to be an accident, so... greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Peace and Love.
A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done. - Dwight D. Eisenhower
Expect nothing, live frugally on surprise. - Alice Walker
Who I'd like to meet: I would have loved to have met any of the founding fathers of philosophy, Aristotle, Socrates, Plato. I would have also loved to have met my grandfather. He died as a fighter pilot in the Air Force in 1957. He hit a mountain in the Swiss Alps while flying under radar. It would have been a priviledge to have known him.
