Susannah Blachly is a fiddler & singer/songwriter from northern Vermont. She played classical violin as a kid, then stopped for many years until 2000 when she started playing fiddle music- Old Time & Celtic. Soon after, she began writing tunes and, eventually songs. She now has three albums to her credit, as well as a band album with her group Wagtail (www.wagtailmusic.com). Her first CD, "Girl In The Photograph", was featured in SingOut magazine in the summer of '05. Her other recordings, "Middle of the Night" (2005) and "Come On Home" (2008) have been enthusiastically received. Robert Resnick, host of Vermont Public Radio's "All The Traditions" calls Blachly "a veritable fountain of great original music." Her first two albums were named among the top 10 albums of year in Seven Days, Vermont's premier arts weekly. Two songs from her newest album are being covered by Vermont artists Mayfly and Rebecca Padula on recordings due out later this year.
