My Camp Susannah band whom I did my last record with featured David Sutton (Lucinda Williams, Liz Phair, Tracy Chapman), John Ballinger (Rufus Wainwright), Ray McNamara (E of the Eels) and Scott Breadman (Macy Gray) among others.

I'm Susannah, I'm a singer-songwriter. Over the past 10 years, I've released two 6-song EPs and a full-length album called HAPPY TODAY (recorded under the band name Camp Susannah). On my new album LET'S PRETEND (recorded under my own name) I collaborated with the multi-talented producer-singer-songwriter Rich Jacques (Thomas Jefferson Aeroplane).
Some people have described my music as "catchy, groove-driven, alternative/adult contemporary pop-rock". My songs have been featured on MTV’s hit show “My Super Sweet Sixteen”, in the feature film “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”, and heard on over 200 college radio stations across the country.
I was born and raised in New York City, started singing professionally in nightclubs and off-Broadway when I was twelve. As an actress, I appeared in a number of TV movies, sitcoms and plays on both coasts. Made my Broadway debut in THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC and am featured on the show’s cast album recording. I'm also a published playwright and screenwriter who co-wrote the film BELLYFRUIT which premiered at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival and ran on Showtime. For that project, I was thrilled to co-write the opening title song with the wonderfully talented producer Stephen Bray (Madonna, “The Color Purple”).
My first full-length album HAPPY TODAY was a collaboration with my band Camp Susannah: musicians David Sutton (Lucinda Williams, Liz Phair, Tracy Chapman), John Ballinger (Rufus Wainwright), Ray McNamara (E of the Eels) and Scott Breadman (Macy Gray). I've performed my music in Galway, Ireland; New York City and in Los Angeles where I've played at The Knitting Factory, Tangier, Genghis Cohen, The Mint and soon...Hotel Cafe.
Currently, my award-winning screenplay UNDERCOVER CREW is being developed as both a film and TV series and features two original songs written by me for the character of a teen pop star. I'm also writing an original movie-with-music about singers. I live in Silverlake in L.A. and wish I had more time to spend on myspace making friends & checking out the cool music...
After spending the last month driving 4000 miles around the southwest, I arrived back in Los Angeles to discover that my new album 'Anitya' has been released. Its currently available on amazon, napster and emusic...or you can listen to most of streaming for free on reverbnation.com/tullymackaytisbert. If you enjoy it I for sure appreciate the support. The album is 10 songs that involve the idea of anitya in Buddhism that all things are impermanent. The album is acoustic folk rock that also integrates traditional east asian sounds and uses the chinese lute the pipa. Thank you for listening!
