April 09: We have just returned to these green pastures from a musical adventure around Spain, hitching there with no money and a guitar we sung our way, stumbling upon tipi communities and glorious secret beaches where we lived and played and mingled our voices with astonishing musicians.... Living from busking and selling the new album, from smiles and the heart-opening generosity of others -

We are just about to embark on another kind of journey; connecting with these beautiful English lands. We are joining two wondering men of the wood, Ed and Will, who are walking the length and breadth of great Britain, learning the ancient knowledge of the land, singing traditional English folk songs for their supper, delighting local villagers with their bardic ways (www.awalkaroundbritain.com). So, equipt with bullet-proof walking boots, tarpaulin shelters and a mini guitar we are setting off to learn from these foragers and from the woodlands we stumble upon. - Then of course the festival season begins! More fields, this time erupting with colourful festivities - we will travel in our van, The Green Dragon, playing our music on the intimate stages of England's most magical festivals.

we are seeking out beautiful spaces for gigs and to meet fellow music makers..... Contact us if you please....

As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
ThanX for the add! I loved to hear your voice in the street of Brighton, I love to hear your voices anywhere, anytime now. See you maybe, somewhere else. Salut!
This month for your delectation we have the long waited return of the
fabulous Pink n Ruby with support from The Alice Band and The
Cultivators, with visuals from Crazy Eddie..and as always DJ Nova7
filling in the bits between the bits...
Pink n Ruby's music is
intimate and acoustic, with two guitars and two voices weaving together
to create a dreamlike ethereal sound sending you deep into the world of
the faeries..They have drawn inspiration from the beauty of Nature, the
singing of their inner angels and sometimes from their dark sense of
humour. The result is music with a unique sound and a haunting beauty. www.myspace.com/pinknruby
The
Aliceband: AlicebanD, like any decent original band are not easy to
describe. Led by the multi-talented Alice Walker, their music is an
upbeat folk/pop hybrid with intelligent, thought provoking lyrics. Having won the Haverill Rock Contest earlier this year, AlicebanD are fast becoming one of the area's prominent live acts.. www.myspace.com/alicemwalker

WORDS CAN BE SO SIMPLE .A video shoot at various locations UK. and J.A by Chris Ilston of CRIZ.E produtions .......
( WORDS CAN BE SO SIMPLE) backed by the HOUSE OF RIDDIM with a solid bass and wicked horn section and drums to rock with. A tune for the reggea music fan at its very best . This tune will make you get up and go and move you forword to a positive state of mind. www.myspace.com/houseofriddim Jamie, here's my HONEST opinion & comments.... "Words can be so simple...Actions..." YES, but MUSIC also speaks louder than words....& thats EXACTLY what this tune does. From the intro chants of "LION....LION!", you get the feeling of positivity & strength from the word GO! The bubbling riddim track is met with uplifting vocal vibes from Mr Irie. A tune aimed at those who talk 'round di ting' & don't seem to put talk into motion, this song hits the spot. A vibesy tune to fill the air with as much punch as ALBORO

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
