Thanks for befriending me. If you’d like to get to know me better, please join me on my blog. I don’t blog like most writers. I do post the occasional writing-related tidbit but I much prefer sharing the things that fascinate me. For me the challenge of digging up fun facts—jokes, life events, trivia, items that catch my interest, and my regular Friday feature, Karen’s Friday Fixin’s where I share a favorite homemade recipe—is as much fun as sharing them with you. You never know what I’m going to come up with if you subscribe to my blog, but I hope to see you there. Thanks again for the add! Karen www.karendocter.com
Thank you for the friendship. I would like to invite you to check out my fiction blog. I post free stories on a regular basis as a way of introducing new readers to my work.

Death Metal is a dark fantasy/horror novella published in trade paperback format.
No one had ever connected Daniel as the brains behind seven brutal concept albums about Satanism and the dark figure Natas, but when a teenager quotes lyrics from his literary work, Daniel fears his 10-year old daughter, Missy, is in trouble. His fears are founded when she is kidnapped. The kidnappers want Daniel to complete the last three albums for his former band--and return him to the demons he had tried to escape. Daniel can save her, but can he save himself?
"Rosamilia jams the E-major of dark crime in Death Metal. That scream you hear is the electric-soaked feedback of scorching prose. " ~ Scott Nicholson, author of Scattered Ashes
Death Metal is a sharply written tale that starts quick and works its way to an edge-of-the seat ending you won't forget. It's one of those stories you just can't stop reading. Bravo! Or should I say Rock and Roll! ~ Laura J. Underwood, Author of The King's Wind and The Green Women
With Death Metal, Rosamilia keeps you anxious to turn each page, and leaves you wanting more. A spectacular read that will not disappoint. ~ C. S. Johnson, author of The Watching
Thanks for the request! I'd like to invite you to check out SINISTER LANDSCAPES, the gothic horror anthology I've edited. It was a number one bestseller on Amazon and features 18 creepy short stories from today's best independent writers including one from yours truly.
First things first...My story, Someone You Know, will be broadcast on Suspense Radio starting Christmas day and looping about three times a day through New Years day. So, an entire week of stories...can't beat that. To hear the story, go to Suspense Magazine's website, suspensemagazine. com, and click the link for Suspense Radio. From there, click the pretty picture on the left hand side of the page and that will take you to the radio's website. From there, there will be three boxes. The one on the far right says Tune In and has three teeny, tiny icons in it. Click on the one you want to use--I always use Windows Media Player--and you will be tuned in. My story is read by my good friend Melissa Dixon. She is hoping to launch a career as a professional reader and a voice over actress for cartoons and what-not. Melissa does a fantastic job reading Someone You Know, really conveying the feeling I wanted to come across in this story. It would be worth your time to listen.
Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.
" What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace."
