   About Suspicious Cheese Lords

The Suspicious Cheese Lords

The Suspicious Cheese Lords is a male a cappella ensemble that performs concerts and provides church service music for the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Although specializing in music of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, their repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to original compositions.

The Cheese Lords' 2006-2007 season will include local concerts in Bethesda, Potomac, and at the National Gallery of Art, and regional concerts in Charlottesville and Baltimore. A new recording project, the group's third, is in the works for summer 2007. Earlier this year, the ensemble was awarded the Washington Area Music Association's "Wammie" for Best New Artist -- the only classical musicians to receive this honor. The Washington Post lauded a recent Cheese Lord performance as "genuinely beautiful ... rapturous musicmaking ... wave upon wave of precisely calibrated, exceptionally moving song." They have been profiled in publications as diverse as the Washington City Paper and Early Music America magazine. The Cheese Lords' two CD recordings have been featured on public radio's Millennium of Music.

You probably got a lot of friends today with your news piece on CNN. I am a big news junkie, I am a dedicated conservative Catholic...I direct music for Mass at my college.

You guys are AMAZING!!! I first heard about you through XM radio, and had to run out and buy your first cd. You guys have such a great blend! I might be moving to the D.C. area this fall for school, are you guys by chance holding auditions? I am a choral performer myself and would love to be part of such a prestegious group!
