About Sutcliffe Jugend

(1980's): Sutcliffe Jugend were one of the early pioneers of extreme electronic music. The intensity of their early releases has rarely been equaled. Kevin Tomkins joins Whitehouse for a short period from 1982.......... (1990's): Kevin and Paul then released four albums as Bodychoke. Three Sutcliffe Jugend albums and the single XI are released, culminating in The Victim As Beauty........... (2000's): Kevin Tomkins and Paul Taylor release a series of experimental and ambient albums. Sutcliffe Jugend perform live for the first time, more dates follow........... (2007): The first Sutcliffe Jugend album in eight years THIS IS THE TRUTH released. A new limited vinyl release TRANSGRESSION including the epic title track is released for tour of Japan. Split cd with Satori released including 28 minute track WHITE GOODS........... (2008): Two albums released in April, Pigdaddy and The Fall Of Nature, plus a collaboration 2xLP with Prurient, End of Autumn.

After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood. Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment. The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welcome To The Batcave’ book, along with this year’s bitcrushed message from the creature in the Batcave Pram.
