Suzanne Doucet is an award winning composer, producer and recording artist. She is also the President & Founder of Only New Age Music, Inc. and the International New Age Music Network. She became one of the pioneers in the new age music industry in West Germany and is now recognized as one of the foremost authorities on the subject worldwide. She has lived in the USA since 1983.
She made her mark in Europe as a singer-songwriter, producer, as an actress and a television host and was seen regularly on nationwide T.V. in Germany and Switzerland. Suzanne signed with Liberty Records in 1968 and recorded with Les Reed (Tom Jones' producer) in England. She released her first single in the US "Swan Song" (Bee Gees) and recorded "Suzanne Doucet International" an album in seven different languages. She playied in the musical Godspell with Donna Summer in Munich, and had celebrities such as Keith Emmerson or The BeeGees in her popular nationwide TV shows.
She financed her world travels by releasing a consciousness - expanding sound collage trilogy Trip/Flip out/Meditation on Phonogram in 1970. She returned in 1971 and continued her work in the music business. For the next ten years, she developed her own style of instrumental new age music while exploring many areas of metaphysics including astrology, music therapy, tarot, yoga and the cabbalah.
In 1983 Doucet realized her life-long dream of moving with her daughter Natascha to California. With American husband James Bell, they began a grass-roots campaign of distributing Isis Music via the alternative - holistic network.They established Only New Age Music, in 1987 the world's first specialized new age music retail outlet in the world. From the moment the store opened in the trendy Melrose district, it became the local hub for aficionados and other visionary artists. Robert Redford, Sylvester Stallone, Prince, Steve Martin, Michael Nouri, William Schattner, Sonja Braga and other Stars bought regularly at Only New Age Music. Simultaneously, Doucet established the International New Age Music Network and produced 3 international Conferences.
Her latest recordings include "Shasta - Sacred Mountain", "Tantra Zone" with Tajalli, "Resonance" with Miraz and the "Sounds of Nature Series" and "Tranquility Series" with Chuck Plaisance.

Recently, I added a new song to my music player called, "Always" which might be one of the best songs I've written so far. Tthe chorus was scored for an entire violin section, however, in studio, I had one violinist, Jan "Yes I Can" Sullins. I asked her to single handedly create the sound of a "Hollywood style" string section. This is almost like telling someone, "Please jump rope one handed 10 times while monkeys nip at your feet."
Lucky for me, Jan worked some magic and now you can hear it on track 1 in my music player. It's called "Always" and is from my upcoming album, "Awakening," to be released June 16th.

Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.
