Sounds Like
Natural style and a beautiful voice. Singing of such clarity and purity, and the words sung carry such weight. It is a beautiful combination. (not my words. I wouldn't be so vain!).
I don't think that I sound like anyone in particular. Come and have a listen. Suggestions gratefully received!
For those of you who remember a Liverpool based band called The Frocks, I was the lead singer.
After 8 years hiding and writing up in my attic, I've decided to go it alone. To be honest 5 of these years were pretty dry as far as writing goes but I'm in a highly creative phase now.
I'm just starting to perform again and plan to record my first solo album/CD in 2010. I've played on the Liverpool acoustic scene over the last few months but am looking to spread my music further afield over the coming year. I've had fantastic feedback so far. Thankyou for your kind words and support. Here are a few written comments gratefully received..
"You sing with such clarity and purity, and the words you are singing carry such weight. It is a beautiful combination. I love these here on your page, particularly Headstrong and Future's Lane. Headstrong has been going round my head all day."
"Well done. Future's Lane is a brilliant song - of that I am quite sure."
"Congratulations for getting two of your songs into the semi-finals of the U.K. songwriting competition! It just shows how strong your songs are!God Bless,
Tim."
"Thanks for a great half hour of wonderful music Suzanne. Everyone enjoyed your set and we look forward to you playing slice again soon."
"Looking and sounding great. Just read your blog and it's great to see you so determined. Lots of luck and I bet you'll fly."
"Hiya Suzanne :)! You have very natural style and beautiful voice! Look forward to seeing you play on Friday. x"
The songs on this were written in the last year. They are demos recorded in a mini studio. Just vocal and guitar at the moment, with a few extras.
Thankyou to my friend Mr. Pip Nicholls, who has done a great job on this.
I hope that you enjoy my music and come on this journey with me?
