I was born in Stockwell, south London. My family are originally from The Elephant and Castle and worked at Billingsgate fish market. My nan, first cousin of film actor Michael Caine, raised me. As a child, I loved to sing and act and attended The Italia Conti School Of Drama.
From my early twenties, I have worked with various bands and producers, developing my craft on stage and in the studio. I met my partner, Tim Devereaux, through answering an advertisement to join his band. On my journey so far, I have worked both in the UK and Los Angeles, as a lead vocalist.
Now I live in Tufnell Park, and I'm busy co-writing, recording and producing songs in my home studio with my partner.
My other work includes working as an actress in adaptations of children’s stories. The first one 'Rumpelstiltskin' has just been completed, and is availble at iTunes. Plans are to record a series of six.
About eleven months ago, I started working as a volunteer at a youth centre for homeless and vulnerable young people, where I am involved in the Peer Education Programme. One of the projects allowed me to use my singing and performing experience. I co-wrote a rap song with a young person called 'I believe in You', and we performed it at The Scala in Kings Cross. The event promoted a short film called 'In The Pod'. The film was made to make young people aware of guns, gangs and knife crime in London, as well as the myths around it. The young people at the centre were involved in all areas in making this groundbreaking film. It is going to be used to raise awareness in schools, colleges and youth clubs. This is a project that I am passionate about, and I am excited to be part of it.
