The songs, including “Hard Way Out,” a duet Chism performs with recording artist Edwin McCain (“I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More”), have sparked major interest within the music community. Since wrapping up her production deal with Golden29 Productions and producer Noel Golden (Matchbox Twenty, Sister Hazel, Guns N Roses), Suzie has emerged with an unstoppable confidence and the personalized sound to back it up. “Working with Noel and Edwin has given me the freedom to embrace my own style and the tools to make music which is true to my personality and roots,” Suzie enthuses. In all three of the singles, “Never Gonna Come a Day,”Hard Way Out,” and “On Your Way,” listeners hear a quixotic combination of melodic passion and lyrical honesty that are becoming Chism’s hallmarks. Chism grew up in rural Nevada, where she was singing for her pastor-father’s church by age eight. Suzie moved to Reno in 2007, studied music formally at the University of Nevada, and set about developing her own musical career.
