Jesus, coffee, fair trade, Equal Exchange (coffee + fair trade = happy), superheroes, hockey, knitting (shut it - it's addicting - you don't even know), reading, running, sunrises, writing, dancing, cover bands, good beer and wine, nerdy guys, rain, shoes. And Jason Statham ... because, um, hot.

About me: I teach that gloriously popular speech course at a local community college, and I work the graveyard shift at a dorm. Translation: I've got some free time. Hence the livejournal (coffeesnob, for those of us who have crossed over or are riding the fence), facebook and myspace accounts. But enough about what I do. This is supposed to be about who I am.
I am introspective. I have a short attention span. I am easily amused. I love to laugh. My myspace is boring. I have a thing for bald guys. I loathe injustice. I love good coffee. I'm really bad at monitoring what I say. I am fond of the absurd. I am interested in many different things and people, so I sometimes appear fickle. But it doesn't take long for me to decide that I like someone, and once that decision is made, it's hard to change my mind. I am a million little contradictions; I think most people are. Brennan Manning said it well - "Aristotle said I am a rational animal; I say I am an angel with an incredible capacity for beer." But at the core of who I am is the one whom I love. Jesus is my superhero; he's saved me more times than I can count.
You Are Socks!
Cozy and warm... but easily lost.
You make a good puppet.
You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.
You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.
Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.
All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.
Who I'd like to meet: People. I like people. People are fun.
Just send me a message along with the friend request, especially if I don't know who you are (assume nothing).
