Suzy Wilde (23) was born with music all around her. Growing up her father, composer Doug Wilde and mother, satirical singer-songwriter Nancy White, both had an enormous influence on her, encouraging her interest in music. Wilde started performing at a young age, singing back up for her mother and her earliest studio experiences included such albums as "Momnipotent" (1990) , "Homely For the Holidays"(1994) and "Stickers on Fruit" (2002). She attended a performing arts high school called Wexford, where she developed a love for musical theatre and live performance. It was in high school that Suzy Wilde joined up with several mates and formed Alt-Country/Indie group, Stonefox (http://myspace.com/stonefoxden). A band comprised of actors and singers, Stonefox is strongly performance based, and has become known for putting on theatrical performances with a strong emphasis on Wilde's unique songwriting. More recently, Wilde has joined up with bassist, Ben Whiteley, and formed indie/folk group, Flashlight Radio (http://www.myspace.com/flashlightradio).
Wilde is musical director of Musical Theatre Company, Beggars Bag Theatre ( http://www.beggarsbag.com). Co-founded by Wilde in 2007, Beggars Bag Theatre has mounted three large-scale productions in Toronto, raising over $8,000 for Harmony Foundation, Nepal. Suzy is a recent graduate of the music program at Humber College, where she majored in jazz vocal performance and composition. She has also written several small movie scores including Tim Clarkes short film, "The Net" ( Humber college, 209) and Gabrielle Zilkha's "How The Grinch Stole My Heart" (TSV, 2009).
Suzy Wilde teaches music theory, Piano and vocal privately, and Music Theatre with The Annex Childrens Theatre in Education (http://www.acte.ca) and Wexford's Saturday Music Theatre (http://www.kidsonbroadway.ca)

You and Ben were TERRIFIC at The Cameron! Thanks so much for bein' a part of the night. Hopefully we can get it together again sometime when we can squeeze a longer set outta you guys. See you around,
That was a great set at The Drake. A definition of the beautiful songstress, sweet-voiced, uplifting in the most powerful way. Radiating elegant beauty, evoking a heart-wrenching introspection that makes you long for a lost love. The accompaniment, led by music soulmate Ben Whiteley, meshes touching acoustic-ballads with upbeat roots-country vigor, guiding this effortless folk-hued ship to shore.
Suzy and Ben - you sound so good through the big earphones hooked up to the computers in the Summerside library. All the Anne and Gilberts on the island cannot compare to you!! See you at the Free Times. nw
Thanks for dropping by. Your music sounds great -- beautiful songs beautifully sung and played. Congratulations! Are you by any chance related to... just kidding. All the best, Gord Sheard
your music is... music to my ears! :-) - talent and sweetness combined. i love the picture of you and Ben - though i think i never met you, i know him and Ken. well - all the best of luck with your music! lenka
Thanks for listening! I really like the clarity of the acoustic in your recordings, and I despise mine. All I have to record is a $10 stick mic, haha, so I guess it is decent considering. Thanks for getting back to me though. I should probably get a proper mic, let me know if you find out details about what you used. Thanks Suuzzzyyyy!
Hi Suzy and Ben, bet you sound great, couldn't get the music to play! Thanks for finding me. Check out the 'faux Ed Sullivan' video on my page if you want a laugh (wait for the twist). Yours in jazz/funk/rock. Rich Underhill
Thanks for the add! You have a very beautiful voice Suzy! And I see you're playing with a colleague of mine; Ben. That man is involved in so many music projects its ridiculous! Anyways, hope you're having a blast and I will come check out a future show when I get the chance.
Suzy!! It's always great to hear your wonderful voice! I'm totally enjoying the songs you've got posted up here - hope to see you (and Ben) at some point in the near future doing these tunes live.
