    ITALIANO Gli Svanzica sono nati nell'estate del 2005, da un'idea di Marco e Luca (rispettivamente chitarra e voce). L'idea di base era quella di proporre una musica del tutto personale ispirandosi comunque a gruppi come Novembre, Klimt 1918 e Opeth. Alla coppia si è aggiunto l'altro chitarrista Fabio (ex-compagno di classe di Marco) che ha subito portato una ventata di prog (ma anche jazz) al progetto. Successivamente si è unito alla band anche il batterista Alessandro (già attivo con gli amici Time Machine), amante del prog anni '70 ma non solo, contribuendo a rendere più originale la proposta. Per ultimo è arrivato il bassista Edoardo, che dopo una lunga ricerca, ha pienamente soddisfatto le esigenze della band. Nel maggio del 2006 il gruppo ha inciso il suo primo demo dal titolo "Wounds". La band si dedica così per alcuni mesi all'attività live. Nel frattempo comincia anche la stesura dei nuovi pezzi. Nell'estate 2008 entra in studio per registrare l'album di debutto. Il lavoro si intitola "Eos" ed uscirà nei primi mesi del 2009. Al termine delle registrazioni dell'album la band si separa dal chitarrista Fabio Zamboni, che verrà sostituito da Fabio Favalli._________________________________________________________________ ENGLISH The Svanzica arose in Summer 2005 from an idea of Marco and Luca (respectively guitar and voice). The basic idea was to propose a completely personal music, taking anyway inspiration from bands like Novembre, Klimt 1918 and opeth. Afterwards the other guitar player, Fabio, joined the couple (Marco's ex classmate) and immediately brought a breath of prog, as well as jazz, to the project. He was followed by the drum player, Alessandro (already active with the friends Time Machine), lover of 70's prog and not only that, contributing to make our proposal even more original. At last the bass player Edoardo arrived and, after a long search, he fully met the nedds of the band. In May 2006 the band recorded their first demo entitled "Wounds". Then the band is involved in the draft of new tracks that will form part of the new work plated Svanzica.
