A Svartalfheim foi totalmente idealizada por Hrothvitnir no ano de 2005, mesmo ano em que várias músicas foram compostas voltadas a este projeto. Hrothvitnir compôs todas as músicas, todas as linhas instrumentais, escreveu todas as letras, gravou todos os vocais, porém chamou Dickbäuchig, Wolf Lutemkrat e Krieger como "session members" para melhores resultados nas gravações do instrumental da primeira demo, "For Their Memories...". Com letras tratando de temas como paganismo e idade média, centrado em valores como honra, glória e orgulho, Hrothvitnir passa através das mesmas suas próprias filosofias, transmitindo aos ouvintes e leitores a necessidade do resgate de antigos valores e a união dos mesmos a novos ideais.

Svartalfheim has been idealized by Hrothvitnir in 2005, when he wrote many songs related to this project. Hrothvitnir wrote all the songs, all the instrumental parts, all the lyrics, recorded all vocals, but he asked Dickbäuchig, Wolf Lutemkrat and Krieger to join as session members for better recording results at the first Svartalfheim demo, "For Their Memories...". With lyrics about paganism and medieval age, with concepts like honor, pride and glory, Hrothvitnir spreads through his words his own philosophies, passing on to the listeners and readers the necessity to revive the ancient values uniting them with new goals.

Svartalfheim wurde im Jahr 2005 von Hrothvitnir idealisiert. Im gleichen Jahr wurde die Musik für dieses Projekt komponiert.
