Sven "Mr. Lower East Side" Wechsler's Comedian Bio
Bio
Sven was born in Sundsvall, Sweden but grew up in the United States, living in the Chicago area and in Boulder, Colorado for the longest periods of a nomadic existence. He has traveled extensively overseas and this experience finds its way into his comedy.
Schooled as a newspaper journalist (schooled - as in educated, not as in "totally dissed by the hipper more urban journalists"), Sven entered the world of comedy through improv, sketch and drug induced confusion, studying at the Second City and Improv Olympic in Chicago. When he realized how annoying imrovisers were, he started doing standup.
He has recently sobered up and moved to New York in order to fight terrorism in the form of religious fundamentalism. Mostly, he just tells jokes and funny anecdotes.

Spelunking. Learning how to spell spelunking properly. Other stuff that makes me appear interesting, intelligent and fun to be around.
Music
Tool. Also, Simon and Garfunkel - but not Garfunkel. Well he's O.K. in small doses, but we all know where the talent came from. Garfunkel sings pretty, but that only gets you so far.
Movies
All the ones that I'm in... so none so far. I refuse to see a movie until I'm in it.
Television
C-Span, but just for the fights.
Books
Love them. I read tons of stuff. All the big ones and some cutting edge stuff you wouldn't have heard of. Very, very interesting. I'm constantly learning. My brain is actually physically expanding. It's so full of knowledge.
I can't relate to people. I'm much too smart and wise.
Heroes
Strong people who made sacrifices so that others could have a better life. Also, famous people.
