S.W.A.G. is based out of Birmingham, Alabama with all four members having been in gigging bands for more than 10 years each. Long time friends, they decided to get together to form a band of great vocals, a great live show and a killer songlist. All four members sing, and three of the members have fronted their own band in the past.
Vocalist/Guitarist Wes Bentley has played in various cover bands over the years, most recently 14jr with his brother Colt Bentley. Since then, Wes has played guitar/backing vocals with Chris Scott in support of his new CD "Hard Livin". They recently opened up for 3 Doors Down/Lynyrd Skynyrd on the main stage at Oak Mountain/Verizon Wireless.
Timmi G has been gigging and on the road for over 15 years playing in some of the best local bands from the 90's; Pirate, Soul Tramp, Slammer, Einstein. His drumming is as strong as his vocals. These bands have opened for several national acts over the years. Tim could easily be fronting this band.
Guitarist Alan Pattillo comes from the school of Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, Journey, and KISS. His playing is as much as an attention draw as the bands 4-part harmony vocals. Alan has also been a working musician for over 15 years in original and cover bands starting out before he was even old enough to be in the clubs he was playing.
Vocalist/Bassist Steven Wheeler has been in more original bands than covers and had interest from several record labels for his band SIX. He is a great singer/songwriter and puts his all into his performance. Steven is a true professional on stage.
Over the past several years, the members of S.W.A.G. have opened up for: Brother Cane, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, The Allman Bros, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Kentucky Headhunters, Foghat, Brian Howell of Bad Company, plus several others.
