FEET IN THE MUD! FEET IN THE MUD! FEET IN THE MUD!
Great blues/country/Americana band emerging from the swamps of the Essex Delta in eastern England in the formative years of the 21st century.
Four great musicians, with a long and distinguished track-record going back 30+ years and including some of the best bands ever to make a noise in the venues of old London Town, including Ace, The Poorboys, The Werewolves of London and Palm Beach Express., With a unique mélange of Blues, Country and good old Rock & Roll, the sound of the Swamp Cats is as rich and deep as the marshland & river estuaries where they live. Between the Blackwater and Crouch rivers, on the Dengie Delta. As the rivers filter through the land & evaporate to become rain, so the blues grooves & roots rhythms are tastefully filtered with good smokin' vibes, precipitating into a great time for all!
The Swamp Cats are currently playing Blues clubs, festivals and venues throughout the U K, as well as opening for the likes of Dan Baird, Walter Trout and a host of top artistes. A sample track from the new album is included on the new Essex Delta Blues compilation from Bad Moon Records, high-lighting the best Blues Bands in Essex. Blues in Britains Mike Mager said "Outstanding track Weep & Moan from The Swamp Cats with its great rocking groove and vocal".
Watch out for the new album of no less than eleven self-penned ditties and three distinctive covers of Tony Joe, Sonny Landreth and T Bone Burnett tunes. Going with the flow on the Kerbong label will be out early 2006, as the man says
"Come on down get your feet in the mud!"
Great songs, rockin' grooves and a good time guaranteed!
