Sounds Like
A rockin, stompin, groovin, funky, Kick Ass Blues Rock Band.
The Swampdawgs Blues Band were formed after Martin (Guitar & Vocals) and Phil (Drums) decided to continue to play music together after the demise of their previous band, the (in)famous, ZEN MACHINE GUN. Pausing briefly in spring 2007 to recruit and old friend of Phils, Iain, on Bass, they quickly knocked up a set of songs. As the name suggests, these were mainly Blues songs, though also including some old classic rock songs, with a bluesy feel, and blaseted out with the first gig in August 07 @ The Leopard in Burslem Stoke on Trent. More Gigs followed in October @ The New Inn, Hanley & The Rigger Newcastle, November @ The Glebe in Stoke and a return to the New Inn for a Christmas Gig in December.
