Tim & I (End of May, 25 yrs) & I have been blessed with 5 kids & 2 grandkids … sort of! We're definitely emotionally attached to our “kids”! You’ll see evidence in family photos that our part of the family tree has “Mutated”! We’re firm believers in adoption since we couldn’t have our own kids, but a strange thing happened to us each time we headed to the adoption agency... LOL Seriously, we realized very early in our marriage that due to our serious health issues we weren’t parent material. We’ve loved being side seat parents to my siblings even though we’ve been wrong 9 out of 10 times! LOL
Our kids… can flagrantly have itchy face conniptions at a moments’ notice! They can & will sniff breath, behinds, & crotches without permission... so embarrassing! The eldest, Sheba, (15) was a shepherd mix. She was my first love! I miss her so much! (RIP 11/5/07) Now, the ruler of roost is Little Bit, (15) a pure mutt; & there is absolutely nothing little about her. She is wonderful but strange! She loves butt & belly rubs & is built kinda funny so she waddles. LOL Next, is our sweet little momma, a miniature poodle, named De Weazel (11). How’d you like that French name? We bred De Weazel with my sister’s son, Shadrack, & they had 4 litters (14 kids). All but one were healthy. She’s sweet, a little paranoid, very sensitive & occasionally a tad snobbish. Our newest addition, Lola, (1)… Ok this isn’t my fault… he’s the one who got attached after we saved if from abusive owners! Can’t even bring myself to say it… swore I’d never own one… yikes, an American Chi…hua…hua Ew! I said it... Chihuahua! Petue! LOL A huh… this, after I’ve had to endure a year & a ½ of lectures on how we’re gonna get to one kid! The plan’s working well, isn’t it? Lola has been here 3 weeks & has turned our lives upside down. It took her only a week to stop being afraid! Now, she's a holy terror full of puppy energy. Do you know what that's like??? I'd forgotten, evidently. I thought Gracie was energetic... Not! No comparison. Gracie is caffeine; Lola is lightening! Oops, forgive me for getting ahead of myself. You’re wondering who Gracie is… She’s my granddaughter, De Weazel’s daughter. Now, do you see the resemblance? It’s in the eyes & ears! Nah… not the hair! Are you joking? Anyways, our grandkids: Gracie, (8) is a toy poodle who is very sweet & friendly. Since we’ve gotten Lola she’s slowed way down. Kinda freaky! I’m hoping she’ll start playing with her soon. Lastly there is Kitty, the cat, who thinks she’s a dog. Interestingly, the dogs think she’s a dog & don’t chase her like they do all the other cats! Can somebody please explain this phenomenon to me?
