Swank is a one-woman company selling loud and unusual jewellery to girls who want to stand out. Swank jewellery is handmade by me, Becky Wignell, a girl on a mission to rid the world of dull jewellery. I create unusual jewellery from toys, beads and random bits and bobs I pick up on my travels around car boot sales, charity shops and from my favorite way to waste time and money, Ebay! My favorite things to create with are plastic, Lego, mini light bulbs, stickle bricks and fluorescent things! Swank believes that nothing can ever be too loud or too bright. Some one recently likened Swank jewellery to Pat Buchers earrings. This is a comparison I am quite proud of and now like to think of myself as a Pat for the new millennium. Supported by TOM ATTAH- a seriously amazing bluesman from the delta basin of South Yorkshire, X-RAY CAT- rockabilly hep cat and seriously all round nice chap, and the man, the legend, the serious seriousness that is SERIOUS SAM BARRETT. This will be our last gig for at least three months if not longer… But on the bright side it’s also hopefully the launch night for our brand new CD – featuring 13 songs of slippery sin.
