Yo! My name is Swap Gomez, 19 years old, Drummer/Musician from Auckland NZ currently studying at AUT. My interest music began when I was 4. My father is a professional singer in Bangladeshi/Ethnic music. I was heavily influenced and music was all around me. Eventually decided to pick up on the drums . Enjoy all kinds of music but my main background is Progressive rock. Been playing drums since I was 4 but got my first kit when I was about 12. Also play a little keyboards and bass. Played with various bands. Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, RnB, Ethnic/Cultural, Ambient, Contemporary Music projects since I was 11 years old. Love working with various recording projects with various artists and musicians and also have done alot of work for various shows, festivals and events across New Zealand. Love to play with guitar virtuosos. Live for creating music and just basically enjoying it. Had the privilege of performing with NZ artists such as Dave Dobbyn, Tim Finn, Mike Chunn, Deceptikonz, Steriogram, Yulia, The Exponents and Th Dudes. Most profound influence is Dream Theater drummer

Nah man, I'm a bit out of the loop as far as the network of people who could've got me in there. I would've liked to do it with either Smokin' Bones or Blue V. Never to mind, will be worth going just to be in the audience. Wonder if Satch will bring Stu Hamm? All going to plan, I should get just enough income for tickets! Have an awesome set, whether I make it or not.
