Schuyler's Interests
General
I like to knit, although I haven't in a few years, to take pictures, to wander on the internet. Swimming, canoeing, boating in the broads. Moving. Staying in one place for a little while. Simon and Linnaea and David and Pickle and Shadow, Hamster, Mollie Katzen, Spider, Dudley and Punkin.
Music
I like The Bills. I like Nina Simone. I like musicals from Hedwig and the Angry Inch to Oklahoma and beyond. I'm not so keen on Andrew Lloyd Weber without Tim Rice. I like Lyle Lovett and They Might Be Giants (really, really like TMBG). There are a lot more that I like. I like Aqua and ABBA and the Beatles and The Specials and Arlo Guthrie and some New Order and My Humps by the Black-eyed Peas.
Movies
My Neighbor Totoro. Muriel's Wedding. Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Oliver (the one with Ron Moody--1968). Beavis and Butthead the Movie ('cause my brother does some of the voices and I like to see if I can pick him out from the rest). Others, but I always am too earnest to stop before I've said too much.
Television
My Name is Earl. Documentaries.
Books
I don't know anymore. Agatha Christie novels and Terry Pratchett novels. Books by Matt Ridley and Robert Sapolsky and David Quammen.
Heroes
I like The Tick and Hong Kong Fooey and Dangermouse and Ren and Stimpy (but they are more anti-heroes really) and Ash Ketchum.
About me: I'm 38 years old on Tuesday (which is only relevant if you are reading this before the Tuesday that I'm writing this on), I have 2 fantastic, wonderful, interesting, engaging children. I have a loving, generous, caring, considerate, focused husband of 10 years come October (see previous parenthetical and replace Tuesday with October). I am a stay at home mom in an unschooling household and that is how I define myself when I'm by myself. It's a good life my life.
You Are Ernie
Playful and childlike, you are everyone's favorite friend - even if your goofy antics get annoying at times.
You are usually feeling: Amused - you are very easily entertained
You are famous for: Always making people smile. From your silly songs to your wild pranks, you keep things fun.
How you life your life: With ease. Life is only difficult when your friends won't play with you!
Who I'd like to meet: I'm a dork. I'd like to meet Matt Ridley, just a bit, I can live without it. He lives not far from where I'm moving from. His family were the powers that be in Northumberland for some period of time and he still has property given to his family as some honorific low those many years ago.
Robert Sapolsky
Unschooling familes that live near to me. People with children who my children like. People who I like. Those are more interesting possibilities in the end.

The guy in the black sweater is Eric Miller - his sister is Kori. His Mom worked at leagal aid for a time and maybe his Dad too, Both of the guyson either side of me were co-best men at my wedding. I am also Godfather to 2 of Eric's 5 (!!) daughters.
He's a super-studly guy!!
The one on my right is Sean Morrissey. They are both very, very successful although I would argue I am happier - for what that's worth.
There is a sweet pic of you in Erinn T.s photos It is in one of the salad days collections. You'll have fun just looking for it. Soooo many memories. It's been so long since I've seen most people. My memories are so clear of people that when I see them now the change is almost traumatizing. It seems like just the other day. Wow, I really am getting old. How weird it will be when we are little old people in walkers. Will we still feel like it was yesterday. Yep. The funniest is gonna be the bands. I so want my son to see this.
Hey, Schuyler!! I was thinking the *same* thing about YOU! What a beautiful, radiant, extraordinary mama YOU are! How utterly delighted I am to have actually really met you!
A hot tub hey. I like the sound of that very much!
~Natalie~
p.s: I was thinking the other day maybe me u and Linayer (sorry it's spelt wrong)could do makeovers on each other. I did that with my friends once and we we ended up in a right mess! lol
RED! RED! Started off bright red, dirt makes 'em pale, dark clouds make 'em dark, but they're most definitely Red. And they were only $6, and I believe just as comfortable as the $36 pair. My Mom even got herself a pair. Aren't they awesome?
I love your love of doors. I'm writing a lot about them right now for my talk at the Toronto Unschooling Conference...being aware of the doors that are opening in front of us in our lives...walking forward through those doors with our children...finding more doors for them that they might be interested in...
Thanks for bringing us Simon and thanks Simon for making yer mom a Mom ♥ Oh my! is this so mushy and sweet that it makes you want to brush your teeth? It does me, it's okay to admit it :D Have a great day!!!
Funny, I changed mine too, just browsing new music and came across someone new I liked. You won't believe her name, either...she even added a "how to say it". :)
Ha! We have the same song on our profiles! :) How's the weather on your continent? Seems we're spending the whole winter trying to stay warm, so our next stop is going to be the mountains in Colorado. Makes sense....'All I wanna do is play'-BF
yeah, we're still very sad, sick to our stomachs most of the time. She was our first cat, kitten really, she was only about 5 or 6 mo. old. Thanks for the sentiments (is that a word?) No more pets for us while we're on the road, well..after the hamster passes on anyway
one of my goals before the kids leave home is to travel Europe in a small RV or VW bus for six months. I did it for a couple weeks as a kid and loved it, so need to experience it with my kids now...oh, and the Hubs. :) Once you get the travel bug it's hard to shake loose!!
Of course you're my first friend. I saw that you were on myspace and figured that if it were cool enough for you then it was cool enough for me. Yay you!!!!!
Now I just have to figure out how to make Tom go away. Poor unloved Tom.
okay, we gotta know... how do *you* say your name??
Kelli and I are on the Shy-ler team, but Sandra says Sky-ler
